My name is Joe, and this is my bar. Joe's Bar is a family place tucked away in a small shopping center a block from the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe. Locals and tourists alike come to the lake to commune with nature. They come to my bar to commune with each other. My patrons are a very wise and perceptive lot.
The one thing all the regulars have in common is they all have dreams. Freddie dreams of becoming a famous writer. His wife Sally dreams of having a family with children. Lupin dreams of moving in with his girlfriend Lucy, but his fear of her alcoholic pet bobcat prevents it. Rich and Isabella dream of each other, but they both have secrets they don't want the other to know about, so they pretend to be something they are not.
Seems like we all have obstacles that get in the way of our dreams. You'd think all of my dreams have come true. I have my own bar, and I've finally restarted my relationship with Joanna a girl I grew up with. It is just that she still has dreams of going to exotic places and having exciting adventures. The obstacle to her dream is her fear her mother may be developing Alzheimer's disease, and she will have to take care of her.
Who would have thought a Christmas party could fulfill so many different dreams?
