Announcement:
My 2022 holiday short story/Christmas present to my Wattpad friends is now posted. I'm posting a little early because I know some of my readers will be busy writing during the National Novel Writing Month of November and I want them to have a chance to enjoy this and maybe get a little inspiration before becoming immersed in their own writing. It's short a little over 3000 words. It's called Frosty. It is a fable of fickle fate, faithful friendship, frothy foam, and Frosty's Felice Navidad.
To put it to Bobby McFerrin's reggae song:
There's a little story I wrote
You're gonna like it I hope I hope
You guessed it,
the ending's sappy
If this poem seems like a song
Get happy and sing along
Don't worry,
it's not rap-py
Holiday season got you down?
Need a read to ditch that frown?
Try Frosty,
it's not crappy
In every life there is some trouble
In Frosty's life it's almost double
But don't worry,
the ending's happy.
The story really isn't that long
Lots of twists can't be wrong
It moves real fast
It's kind of snappy.
It's a read your holidays to brighten
It's a read your heart to lighten
So read Frosty,
and get happy.
It's now two thousand twenty-two
I wrote this story just for you
So get reading
and be happy.
Can't get this tune out of your head
It'll be gone once my story is read
Yeah, don't worry
Be happy.
