The pizza arrived around seven-thirty, the sushi around eight-o-five. "Finally! I'm starving!" Augustus complains as the doorbell rings for the second time.
"If you would stop complaining, it would go faster," Abigail says, gently punching him in the arm.
"Ow!" He whines while making a pouty face at her.
She laughs, "I didn't even hit you that hard!"
"Yes, you did!" They continue to bicker.Samuel gets up from his spot to get the door, "Why are we keeping them waiting? We're all hungry." He answers the door, returning a few minutes later with the boxes of everyone's sushi. "What'd I miss?"
He sets it down on the table next to the pizza. I laugh as Levi answers, pointing to Abigail and Augustus, "Just more bickering between those two."
Abigail turns to glare at us. "And yet, Ignis and Mare bicker like an old married couple. So do you two." She nods at Levi and I.
"We do not!" I place a joking hand on my chest and feel my heartbeat speed up. He doesn't know how I feel about him. 'Why do I torture myself like this, sitting near to him when I know it'll make my heart speed up and my breath catch in my throat? I wish-'
"Yes, you so do!" Augustus exclaims in a way that makes it clear he's holding back a laugh.
Levi grumbles, "Whatever." He meets my gaze, making me look away to keep him from seeing my clearly red face.
"Does anyone want to keep playing while we eat?" Lauwrance asks.
Louis perks up, "If it means we get to find out more about Levi, sure!"
"Why me?" Levi asks with a raised brow.
Ignis just looks at him before saying something in Latin, "Prorsus scisscis. Maxime omnes praeter me nihil fere de te novit. Plerumque arcanus es."
"Arcanus sum."
Mare burst out laughing before saying in English, "Not to Ignis."
"Or Endal," Ignis says with a shrug.
Turning towards Levi, I ask, "Who's Endal?"
Augustus groans, "Can we eat now? I haven't eaten since like noon."
Samuel scoffs, "We had lunch at the cafe at three. I don't know what you're talking about." Examining Samuel, I notice bags under his eyes. They look darker than normal which probably means he didn't sleep again. The bronze color of the inside of his iris looks duller, the blue rim around it lighter, making his eyes look almost alien. He runs a hand through his blonde hair, messing it up. Most people think blondes are dumb but Samuel is quite the opposite. He can figure almost anything out.
"Since when do you two hang out by yourselves?" Mare asks with a raised eyebrow. "Was it a date?"
Samuel bursts out laughing, nearly dropping the food, "No, not a date. We had to talk about... things..."
"And what would those things be?" Levi asks without missing a beat.
Augustus smirks as he says, "How about none of your business?" Samuel finally finishes setting out all the plates for us as Abigail and Augustus start bickering again.
"Do you need help?" I offer to him.
He nods, "Sure, at least this keeps us away from their fighting."
"Yeah... How many people wanted sushi again?"
"I think three? Which do you want?"
I shrug, "I don't care, I'm not feeling particularly picky." We set out five plates of pizza and four of sushi. "How are we going to go about this?" I ask, wondering how he plans on carrying all of these plates into the living room.
