Silent Scars
In the quiet of night, when shadows take flight,
A silence descends, swallowing light.
A moment of trust, turned dark in a flash,
An innocence shattered, a soul left to crash.Whispers of shame weave a web in my mind,
A battle within that is cruel and unkind.
The echoes of laughter now twisted with fear,
In the heart of the darkness, the pain feels so near.I walk through the world, yet feel so alone,
Each glance, a reminder of how I've been thrown.
The burden of silence, the weight of the past,
A journey through shadows, the die has been cast.Yet beneath all the anguish, a flicker remains,
A spark of resilience that breaks through the chains.
For though I am shaken, I am not defined,
In the depths of my being, a strength I will find.I gather the pieces, the fragments of me,
With courage as armor, I'll learn to be free.
Each step is a battle, but I'll face what I fear,
For healing is possible, and my voice will be clear. So here's to the survivors, both silent and bold,
To the stories we carry, in the warmth of the cold.
For in every small victory, there's power to reclaim,
In the ashes of silence, I'll rise without shame. With every breath taken, I honor my pain,
For it's part of my journey, the sun and the rain.
In the heart of the struggle, I'll find my own way,
Embracing my story, I'll seize a new day.And though scars may linger, they tell of my fight,
A testament of courage that shines in the night.
In the tapestry woven of trauma and grace,
I'll stand tall and proud, reclaiming my place.
