December 24th
Thursday, 6:17 A.M.
"Wake yo ass up." Dayvon said smacking my arm lightly and I blinked rapidly looking at him.
"Get the fuck outta my face Dayvon. For real." I said laying my head back down.
"You said we was gone talk when we got some sleep. I know I slept good." He said and I rolled my eyes taking a deep breath.
"Dayvon please—"
"Aight ma. After we wash our face n shit. I'll oil yo belly fa you." He said and i slightly smiled.
"Alrighttt. But can we go downstairs. I wanna cook. But that means I have to cook for the whole house." I said kinda struggling to get up and Dayvon noticed and laughed.
"Oh wow. It's funny?" I said still trying and he got off the bed.
"It's funny but you know I'mma help you." He said taking both of my hands pulling me up. I stood up with the help of him and we went to the bathroom.
We washed our face and brushed our teeth. I took my braids out of my scarf just to let them breathe. I always tie my scarf really tight. I oiled my scalp and moved my braids to a side.
"Come on with this oil if you're going to help." I said standing in front of the big mirror. And Dayvon came in putting the oil on his hands and I faced him. He started oiling my stomach and I just looked down watching him.
"I normally talk to her when I oil my stomach." I said.
"What y'all talk about?" He asked.
"I just tell her about my life, my day, her dad. How you are. How much I can't wait to meet her." I said.
"Oh then lemme talk to my damn daughter." He said and I popped his hand.
"Don't start cussing around her this early. She is going to pick up bad habits from you." I said.
"She gone pick up bad habits from you cause you always fuckin hittin me." He said looking at me and I rolled my eyes.
"Say what you gotta say to her." I said looking up.
"Aight lil girl. Yo mom prolly been sittin here tellin you lies about me. But I can't wait to see you too. I'm real excited to see yo mom hold you when you come out. I'm excited to cut the cord when you come out. I'm excited to carry you out the hospital and have you be mines forever." Dayvon said and I looked back down at him.
"Awww Dayvon." I said smiling making him laugh and he stood up.
"You so look pretty ma." He said looking down at me and I slightly smiled and he kissed me.
"Wait wait wait. Let me go cook. Don't start." I said pushing his chest away and he laughed. I changed from shorts to sweatpants because the air is on.
I sat down on the floor pulling out my slippers out of my bag. As Dayvon was rolling up a blunt.
"You not gone text Taurus? You know he gone be mad if you smoke without him." I said taking my IPad from off the charger.
"I rolled 2. Im puttin one under the door. Im jus tryna go downstairs wit you." He said following behind me.
He put the blunt under Taurus's door and we went downstairs. Dayvon sat at the counter so we could talk while I cooked since everyone is still asleep.
"What was yo problem again?" Von asked sitting down.
"This is where we're going to be done talking." I said taking the turkey bacon out of the fridge.
"Okayyy what did I do that you ain't like? Start from the beginning." He said and I turned on the stove.
"First of all, the first thing that threw me off was you holding her hand when we got off the plane because...why the fuck would she need help? And second why would you help her before helping me? The fuck is that." I said cutting open the packaging.
"You went down the steps with Tremani." He said and I looked at him with a straight face.
"You still should have been behind me. And even if that really is your reason. What was with all the laughing and talking while you were getting the bags? Since when do you even acknowledge any b-girl Taurus brings up. He has brought plenty of girls around and you never spoke before. So what the fuck is all the fuss now?" I said taking pancake batter out of the cabinet getting a big bowl.
"She spoke to me first. That was it. You actin like I was flirtin n shit." He scoffed.
"But you were! When I came downstairs to get my mom, remember? Why is this bitch leaned up against the wall giggling while you're talking to her? That's fucking flirting and you're being weird." I said shrugging.
"How you gone tell ME I was flirting. You gone just believe anything yo brain say to? Crazy shit." He said.
"And you called me big yesterday." I pointed.
"Zero. You doin allis cause I said you big?" He said.
"We're you not listening to the other 2 things I just said Dayvon. You know I don't like when you play that deaf shit, picking and choosing what the fuck you wanna hear." I said started to mix the batter. And I added some cinnamon for extra flavor.
"I heard you but what the fuck one gotta do wit the others?" He said.
"You said what did I do that you didn't like. So I said everything I didn't like. Don't call me big the fuck." I said and he took a deep breath.
"I apologize fa callin you big ma." He said standing up.
"And what about the other 100 things." I said.
"Do you not like me talking to her?" Von asked coming closer to me damn there being in my face as I was still mixing the batter.
"Get out my face Dayvon." I said putting butter on the pan for the first pancake.
"Answer the question Zero." He said.
"It's not that I don't like you talking to her Dayvon. It's just SHE'S doing shit I would get because I'm a woman. I know what the fuck she's doing and I don't like it. And then you're just being nice...or at least I hope you really are JUST being nice." I rambled quickly.
"I hope you'on think I'll do sum wit that girl." He said getting closer to my face and I poured some batter onto the pan.
"That's not what I'm—"
"Yeah it is Zero." He said smirking and i rolled my eyes.
"Aye aye. Wait. Stop Zero." He said grabbing my wrist making me stand in front of him.
"I would never do shit wit that girl Zero. I hope you really know that." He said looking at me with a serious face and I took a deep breath trying to hold everything back.
"I know." I nodded and he kissed me letting me go back to the stove and I flipped the pancake.
"I love you Zero." Dayvon said kissing me again.
Chalynn POV
"I love you." Zero said to Dayvon.
I JUST CAN'T GET RID OF THIS BITCH! Good thing for me I wasn't trying to do anything with Von anyway. But you guys will see the real plan soon enough.
