"Alright, sooo..."
6:35 p.m.
Deandra paused and held you by the shoulder, looking around in suspicion. "...Something wrong?", "Sorry...you remember my...uh...acquaintances from yesterday?" "You mean the men who tried to break into an old lady's house?" You were still confused about their intentions. She sighed. "Yeah...they can be a little much...I just don't want you around them..." Deandra pouted. "Look, let's just focus on tonight, let's just-- you know, use this opportunity to get to know each other more..." Deandra nodded, "You know what...fork them! Let's go"
...
(I changed the format for the dialogue here since there's a lot of characters involved, I know there's only three characters in this scene but... shut up...)
M: Dude, Where the hell is Dee?
D: She's probably off with that bench from last night.
M: You mean the girl you tried to lay?
C: Maybe Dee's gonna lay her instead.
...
M: Dude...
C: What?
"OH....FORK..."Deandra held her head in pain. You quickly kneeled down, "DEANDRA! Oh my gosh...are you alright?!
"UGHHH FORKING SON OF A BENCH KILL MEEEEEEEE", "Oh, I knew rollerskating was a bad idea!" "THEN WHY THE FORK DID WE GO ROLLERSKATING?! OHHHH....SON OF A BENCHHHHH" Deandra continued to make a scene as you caressed her head. "You know what? Let's just uh, take you back to my place." You gently helped her up, gliding slowly through the rink and towards the exit. Until she tripped and hit the railings. "OH, SON OF A BENCH!"6:53 p.m.
You laid Deandra on your couch as she groaned. "Okay, okay...stay here... uhhh" You ran to your freezer, frantically looking for an ice pack as Deandra continued to groan louder and louder. You pressed the ice pack onto her head, "You alright?" "KILL MEEEEE!!" "Good forking lord'" She only sighed weakly. "I'm sorry you had to see me like-- OHH!! SHIIIIRT!" You flinched and pressed the pack harder. Deandra only sighed. "I'm sorry you had to see me like this...especially last night. It's just that my frien-- acquaintances usually get on my nerves. I'm never like this I swear..."
"I WILL EAT YOUR BABIES, BITCH--"
"...I can tell." You sighed. "Just get some rest alright?" You let Deandra hold the ice pack as you stood up to get your purse. She whined, grabbing you by the arm and pulling you back. "Please stay..." You giggled, "Don't be so dramatic, I was just gonna get my phone." You tried to walk away, but her grip was tight. "Whatever just...just do your thing later..."
"My friend's calling me." "It can wait." She's right, cause your friend's a bench. You sighed and decided to stay with her until her wounds healed. Every feeling entered the athmosphere, ending up with the both of you dreaming about what had happen minutes, hours ago...It was the way she tightly held your hand, the way she looked at you, the proximity that silenced the whole world. There was something in the way she pleaded for your touch, your comfort. Deandra can deny it all she wants, but she can't run away from her feelings forever, can she?(This is how it's supposed to look like btw)
11:20 a.m.
The two of you woke up in each others embrace. "..." You quickly let go of each other, flustered and embarrassed. You tried to cut the awkward silence. "...What time is it?" "Must be 10 or something." ... "And uh...how's your head?" "Doesn't really hurt anymore...wait...OH SHIRT!" She quickly got up, "What's the hurry?" "I have to go to work" She said as she frantically looked for her bag. As she neared the door she looked at you with nothing but sparkles in her eyes. "I'll see you tomorrow?" "Alright." Dee left, rushing through. When she arrived at Paddy's Pub, she was greeted with Charlie, Mac and Dennis standing with their arms crossed, looking at her. Dennis shot her an icy glare and spoke first.
"Hello, sister... how was your date? ......
HOMO?"
Dee only glared at them, obviously done with their shirt. Mac decided to join in. "So...Dee...did you have fun...SLEEPING WITH YOUR GIRLFRIEND?!" "Hey...can you...Shut the fork up?" "Come on, Dee we all know it, we all know you have a girlfriend." Mac smirked. "First of all--" Dennis cut her off by pointing towards her and yelling "YOU'RE A BIG OLD HOMOSEXUAL!" "Okay- First of all, nothing happened. All she did was take me back to her place and--" "And then you made out!" "NO! She took me home and then we ma- I mean--" She was thinking about making out with you for a split second. "I KNEW IT! GIVE ME THE $20, MAC!" Charlie yelled. "SHUT THE FORK UP! I SAID-- Wait, WERE YOU GUYS BETTING ON THIS?!"
"...No..?"
"OH MY GOSH!"
"LET HER CONTINUE!"
"ALL SHE DID WAS TAKE ME HOME AND GAVE ME AN ICE PACK!"
...
DN: "Wait, ice pack? What happened?"
D: "I had a rollerskating accident."
..."HAHAHAAHAHHAHAHA"
...
Every little thing reminded you of Deandra. When the flowers sway and the birds take flight, the day you met her was the day your world turned upside down and changed for good. The only memory that played on repeat was how she threw her arms around your waist, the proximity between your bodies, her delicate voice...
"I WILL EAT YOUR BABIES BITCH--"
You felt something you've never felt before. Love. Because you're single. Sorry. And it felt amazing, 'cause when you realize you're falling for someone, there's a spark that glows brightly, igniting the fireworks in your head, and you start seeing the world from a different point of view. It was a sweet euphoria worth cherishing. But not for Dee, she felt like she was about to get murdered by a giant kidney man on crack. This feeling accompanied with the gang teasing and mocking her made it hard for her to process it all. Even though the answer was right in front of her, as if someone was screaming it at her. The answer was... H o m o s e x u a l.
