"Ugh.. who's calling?!"

"Hello- get your ass in the living room. I know you wanted to take a nap, but your mom wants to go shopping."

I groan, sitting up from my bed and saying- "Okay." To my father before hanging up, rubbing my eyes. Why couldn't he just go to my room like a normal person? It was a long day today, considering the tears that were randomly falling from my eyes earlier this afternoon.

I throw my covers off, my feet touching the cold flooring as I slip on a hoodie, rubbing my eyes and exiting my room, stepping into the livingroom where my parents were.

"Hey, go ahead and start the car for me please." I heard my mother ask my father, handing him the keys as he stepped outside.

"M.. why did you want to randomly shop.? Didn't you just have me get noodles literally a few hours ago?" I say, blinking myself awake, and also to adjust to the light.

"Shopping? We're not shopping." My mother said in confusion, "We're visiting my old friend."

What?

"Huh? You have a friend?" I pause, rephrasing myself, "S-Sorry. I meant... you have a past friend you started talking to again?"

She smiled, nodding. "She has a son, around your age, so I decided to let you come along. If she had no kids, I probably wouldn't have brought you along so you weren't bored listening to us adults."

I was a bit hesitant, considering it was a boy, and shrug, "Well, that's nice of you to think about that. But.. I'll pass on this one if thats okay. Can I just stay home and sleep?" I carefully ask.

My mother didn't respond for a moment, thinking about my words, but I don't think they worked, "Sorry, Sister. I already told her you're coming along, and she wanted to meet you."

Well, great. I sigh, looking down at my lazily put on hoodie. I don't care about the fact it was a boy, but anyone who was my age i'd rather not look bad for. "Okay.. I'll go." I reluctantly respond, causing my mother to nod.

I went back to my room, changing into a different, but still comfortable, outfit. Brushing my teeth and hair; I finish up getting ready and meet my parents in the car.

And there was my first, and biggest mistake.

"W-Woah, L/N?"

Let me explain.

We pulled up to a house, which was actually quite small but pretty. Me and my parents exit the car, stepping up to the porch of a house. My mom knocked on the door a couple of times, waiting a few seconds before the door opened, revealing a green haired woman. She was pretty, short, and looked kind. Even spoke kindly too.

"Ah.!" She said, smiling and letting us all in, "Hello, Amari, Kentaro. Come in!" She glanced at me, "You must be Y/N, correct?"

I nod, feeling mesmerized by how sweet this lady is while following my parents inside. "Y-Yeah.." I snap out of my thoughts, "You are..?"

She placed a hand on her cheek, "Oh, how rude of me, I'm Inko! You can call me-"

"Inko!" My mother quickly said, wrapping her arms around the green haired lady. Inko smiled, returning the embrace while me and my father stood a bit awkwardly.

"It's so nice to see you again, Amari. Oh, Y/N. I'll get my son for you.." She requested, looking behind her to a hallway before calling out, not that loudly but rather softly, "Izuku! Come here please. I have some people for you to meet!"

Wait. That name sounds familiar...

A boy opened his door. He was wearing a T-Shirt and black shorts, unlike my usual meet with him in the U.A. Uniform.

"Midoriya?!" "L/N?!" We say at the same time.

"Huh? Have you two met before?" Kentaro asked me, raising a suspicious brow at Midoriya.

"Yeah.. we're in the same class." I answered, causing Inko to blink.

"Amari, you never told me your daughter goes to Yuuei!" Inko said, grinning. "I'm glad you two know eachother!"

"Uh..." Midoriya smiled nervously, rubbing the back of his head with his cheeks a faint pink out of embarrassment, "Mhm...!" He hesitantly said.

I smile, shrugging, "Well, hi.."

"H-Hi!"

"Oh, I made dinner!" Inko broke up our awkward greeting, gesturing everyone towards her dining table. She pulled up a few chairs since she only had two at the table.

"Aw, you shouldn't have!" My mother said, but was grateful.

"Na, you should've. I'm STARVING!" Kentaro said, smirking at the nicely smelling food.

I sat between my parents, Inko in front of my mom and Midoriya across from me.

We all started eating, talking about random stuff, before my mom said something that caught my previous uncaring attention, "I'm happy Izuku got in. I remember how devastated you were he was Quirkless-" what? "So it's a miracle he could reach his dreams!"

My mind wanders back to when Midoriya said to Bakugo that he got his Quirk from somewhere.

"Yeah... It was very exciting." Inko smiled, looking down, "Izuku as a kid was so happy about heroes, so the fact he got into Yuuei is amazing, especially without a Quirk."

Midoriya looked like he was sweating, eyes glancing to his food, to me, back to his food from time to time.

"What? But- Midoriya's not Quirkless. He had a really strong Quir-"

My hand got grabbed, "Oh wait! L/N, I wanna show you my All Might collection.. come!" And I was suddenly being dragged away to Midoriya's room.

"Hey- ow.. Midoriya!" I yell, and Midoriya immediately let go of my hand when he shut his door.

"Ah! I'm so, so, so sorry.!" He quickly said, hands nervously waving in front of him, eyes widened and face pink, "It's just.. they- they don't um..." He stumbled over his words.

"Midoriya, whats this all about?! How - no, WHY does everyone think you're Quirkless?! First Bakugo, then my mom and YOUR MOM?!"

He let out a sigh, looking down, clenching his fists. I felt a bit guilty for raising my voice, especially since the boy is nothing but sweet to me. To everyone.

".. I'm- I'm sorry. I... My Quirk- um.. It developed late." Lie. "I never told me parents about it, so my mom probably told yours I was Quirkless.!" Half truth. "I'm truly, really sorry!" Truth.

I clench my jaw, biting in my tongue to hold back words. Soon enough, my mouth opens, "Um.. okay. Wow. Why don't.. why didn't you tell her?" I asked.

"...I.." He was thinking hard, which only made him even more suspicious.

"Look, Midoriya. I won't ask you about it anymore, and I have no clue why you're lying to me about this... But all I know is your Quirk isn't yours? I don't know what to believe." His eyes looked up at me, confusion and shock clearly in the emerald color, "I overhead your conversation with Bakugo." And realization flashed through him.

"Oh... Oh.! Why'd I tell Kacchan right outside the school.." He mumbled, "Sorry, I.. I can't explain why or who, but... just please don't say anything. And don't tell anyone, please.."

I nod.
