Sabrina
Keith pins me against the wall by my shoulders. "Miss me already? You didn't think I didn't notice you following me, did you?" He smiles.
I squirm beneath his grip, but he doesn't budge. "Let me go!" I demand.
"What? So you don't want a taste of this? Well, surely you had to been following me for some reason." He quizzes.
"I want you to leave me alone." I growl, nostrils flaring.
"Well," He brushes a strand of hair from my face. "that won't happen. Not until I can have you all to myself. And one day . . It will happen. One day, you will fall in love with me and you can be all mine. I'm willing to be patient." He explains.
I grit my teeth in fury and recall any sorta training I learned with Nathan.
"Oh, wow." I softly say, changing my demeanor suddenly. "I didn't realize how much you cared about me."
He smiles to the side with amusement.
Quickly, I raise my knee straight into his junk, causing him to release me with a groan. I then step on his foot as hard as I can with my high heel, making him let out another groan and backing away from me.
I sprint down the sidewalk without looking back. I pant as I run, trying to create enough distance before he can catch up to me.
As I continue running, I glance behind me to make sure he's far enough before my body impacts a solid body, causing my ankle to roll and loose my balance.
Large arms catch me around the waist as I scream, "No!"
"Hey, hey, Sabrina." Nathans voice stops me.
I pause to look up at him as I slowly come to my feet.
His eyebrows are furrowed with concern as he still holds me in his arms. "Are you okay?" His eyes shift behind me.
I try to catch my breath for a moment and glance behind me.
He's not around. I sigh a relief and return my gaze to Nathan.
He waits for my explanation patiently while looking into my eyes.
I wrap my arms around his large body where I'm welcome with a warm embrace. I close my eyes, feeling safe in his arms.
His hand cups the back of my head as he reassures, "It's okay. You're okay."
. . .
"How did you find me?" I ask as we enter his condo. I place my purse on his counter and slump onto his couch.
"Well, not to concern you, but I put a tracker on your phone. I got an alert that you were running pretty fast and figured you were in trouble. Luckily, I was nearby at Landall's Diner with a friend." He explains.
"You put a tracker on my phone?" I ask. "When were you gonna tell me this?"
He sighs. "Yes. I didn't want to worry you since you're dealing with this stalker already. I was just trying to keep you safe." He then adds, "What happened anyway?" He sits down in the arm chair across me.
I turn my head as I contemplate telling him the full truth. I sigh. "I was following him."
He sits up more. "What? Sabrina, why would you do that? You know the man is dangerous." He frowns.
"I know. I just was trying to see if I can find some dirt on him to lock him away for good. But, I did find something. He gave this man-"
"Sabrina," He interrupts. "never do that again. You could've gotten hurt. And you almost did. You need to stay away from him. You hear me?" He demands.
