When Bree woke up, she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head. Everything was blurry and she felt dizzy. Bridget found herself in a bedroom. It was dark and cold, but it smelled like flowers, two things that didn't belong together, and she saw a few rays of light coming from the window, indicating that either it hadn't been that long since she'd passed out, or that it was morning. Who knew how long she had been unconscious? Maybe only a few hours, but it could have been days... While she looked around the room, trying to figure out how exactly she had gotten there, she remembered going to a party, seeing Kai, then going after Jared... Jared! Where had he been? Was he okay? Oh, no. Now she remembered everything. Kai was standing at the door now. As soon as she saw him, she couldn't help but remember that he had murdered someone because of her. Tears ran down her cheeks and she couldn't stop sobbing. Then Kai sat down beside her and hugged her."I can't stop it Kai, I'm sorry..." She was crying even harder now. All she felt was guilt.
"It's okay, It's okay. Just breathe. You don't have to be sorry for anything. I've got you."
How could he be so sweet and so cruel at the same time? He had taken a life because of her, and she shouldn't be sorry?
"Well, what now? Aren't the police going to be after you, now that you killed someone? Who was that guy anyway? I recognize him being a guy from history class, but that's it"
"He was trying to kill you, Bree. Well, he was probably going to do something else first, but once he got what he wanted, he was going to kill you. As revenge."
"Revenge? What? Why? And even if that were the truth, how would you know?"
"Well, princess that's a long story. For now, get dressed, I just made breakfast."
"How can you think about breakfast Kai? What about Jared? And my parents!!! They must be so worried about me!"
"Don't worry about your parents. I have discussed the current situation with them, so you don't have to worry about them. As for your friend, I have no idea what happened to him, he probably went home with a girl or something. I can find out though, if that's what you want."
"Wait, how do you know who my parents are? Who are you, Kai? And yes please, I would very much like you to find out where Jared is."
"You ask too many questions, princess. Let's eat breakfast, then I'll go look for your friend." Then he left.
"MY ' BEST FRIEND' HAS A NAME YOU DOUCHE! AND IT'S JARED!" She yelled after him, then added: "AND STOP CALLING ME PRINCESS!" He closed the door and now she was alone in the dark, cold, flower-scented room. For some reason, she wasn't afraid. She was worried about Jared, but she wasn't afraid of what was about to happen. Even though she remembered exactly what had happened the day before, she knew better than to freak out and panic over the situation. Bree thought she was falling in love with a guy from drama class, just a guy from high school. Anne's Gil. Not a criminal. She had a feeling it wouldn't end there; no, she was sure of it. All she could do now was cry and pray.

A few minutes later, Bree went out of the room and sat down at the table in the living room. The smell of scrambled eggs and bacon made her remember how hungry she was. Now her stomach had grumbled.
"Good thing you're hungry, princess" Kai mocked
"Well, for your information, I'm not that hungry"
"I think your stomach says something else" Now he was laughing again, his very cute laugh. She gave in and started laughing too. There was no use in trying to deny how hungry she actually was.
