"Roman, have you seen Liv? I can't find her." The girl Liv was with asks me, looking concerned. "She's not answering her phone."
"The last I saw her she was going to the bathroom." I answer, growing concerned myself. "I'll help you look. What's your name again?"
"Avery. I checked the downstairs bathroom. I don't know if there's another one but she wasn't in there."
"I think she went upstairs," I immediately head up the stairs and to Josh's bathroom. I know this place pretty well. I knock and twist the knob but it's locked.
"Liv? Hey, are you in here?" I press my ear to the door but I can't hear anything over the loud music.
"Can you please just break it? I'll pay for it," Avery promises, speaking as loud as she can. "It's not like Liv to not answer her phone. I'm really worried. She's had a lot to drink."
I nod, stepping back from the door. Avery steps away as well, and I kick beside the door knob twice before it budges and flies open. Liv is sitting on the counter, her mascara running down her face, and trying her damnedest to push the man kissing her neck away.
Without thinking, I grab the man by the back of the neck, yanking him off. Avery runs to Liv's side hugging her tightly. I start seeing red as I spin the man around seeing same douchebag that wouldn't leave her alone earlier. I punch his face left and right, pinning him to the wall.
My vision blurs and all I can picture is Liv's face, and the amount of pain she looked like she was in. I never should have left her alone. "You stupid fucking bastard," I grit out.
I don't feel any resistance as I keep landing blow after blow on the guy. I feel someone trying to pull me away, but they're not strong enough to stop me. "Roman, Roman!" A female voice begins to draw me back to reality. "You're going to kill him and then you'll be in jail for murder! You have to stop!"
I'm finally able to see the man, blood covering his face and he's unconscious, but still breathing. I can tell by the way his chest is still moving. I step back, letting him slide to the floor. I turn towards Avery and Liv, looking at that beautiful tear stained face. "Take her home," I instruct Avery.
"We didn't drive. We Uber-ed." Avery informs me, moving back to Liv now that's she's successfully saved me from a murder charge.
"Someone needs to be here to get his name and information so Liv can press charges." I can't take my eyes off of her, she's so upset. "I drove."
"I'll stay here and wait. I don't think I'm sober enough to drive. I'll get Jordan and Amy to wait with me too."
"Call them and I'll call Angelo too, I'll wait til they get here." I pull out my phone and text Angelo to meet me in the upstairs bathroom. I don't drink so this is probably the best course of action to get Liv out of here.
Liv was right earlier, I was being a stalker. I'm sober, I've been drinking water all night. I keep my own waters with me and it wasn't empty. Something about knowing she doesn't like me is driving insane. I want her to like me and I don't understand why. There are plenty of people that already like me. But they're not her.
I get Avery's number and address so I can let her know when we make it; and once Angelo, Amy, and Jordan arrive, I carry Liv out quickly. She buries her face in my chest, hiding away from everyone. People, for once, don't try to talk to me and I make it to my car quickly and easily.
I drive as quickly as I can without drawing attention, the only sounds in the car being Liv's cries. It's breaking my heart. I can't even think of anything I could say to make her feel better, so I focus on getting her home as quick is possible.
