I looked down at his handsome face. He looked so serene while he was sleeping. There were bandages around his head, a cut at the end of his left eyebrow that almost reached his eyes, and for some reason it made him look so much hotter. His parents were on the way, and I paced around as Mr. Williams called a third time, unlike the other 2 times, this time I decided to pick up. I backed him and faced the opposite wall as Mr. Williams worried voice met me at the other side of the phone.
“ Hello, Daphne? I just got to your house, where are you? Your butler said you haven't been home for the entire day, and you ditched school? No one's been able to get a hold of you since morning and it's night time. Did you ditch school to go to a party? ”
“ No, that's not it. I usually go to school with Matt, but we got into an accident- ”
“ You what?! ”
“ It's okay, he shielded me with his body, but he's severely injured and I'm afraid he won't- ” then a firm hand pulled my phone away from my hands.
“ Don't mind this silly girl. We'll be there ” He cut the call, and tears rolled down my cheeks.
“ Matt? ”
“ Yes, Darling? ”
I buried my head into his hospital clothes and started crying hysterically.
“ I-I thought you were gone ”
“ No getting rid of me that easily ” I chuckled with relief
“ Thank you, for saving me and being okay. I don't know, I-I just froze- ”
“ Shh... ” he placed a finger over my lips.
“ I'm sorry ”
“ For what? ”
“ If I'd moved, you wouldn't have had to protect me and - ”
“ Stupid girl. I made the accident in the first place, if anyone's sorry, it's me. And about saving you, guess what?” then he raised my chin to look at him “ I'd do it again ”
I felt my heart race and my face redden, my stomach clenched, but in a good way.
“ Do you forgive me? ”
“ I was never- Under 5 conditions ”
“ 5?! ”
“ Yes, since you insist on punishing yourself ”
“ Well, what are they? ”
“ Haven't decided yet ”
“ So I just have to do 5 things you ask? ”
“ Yes, exactly ”
“ Shouldn't be that hard ”
“ Let's go to my house, I need to get changed, then we'll leave ”
“ But you aren't to be discharged till next week Monday ”
“ Your point is? ”
“ You can't leave ”
“ Yes, I can and I will. We're breaking out ”
“ No no no no no no no no. We can't do that! ”
“ No you can't do that, I've been doing this forever. And guess what? Now you can ”
“ What? ”
“ Condition number 1 ”
“ Nooooo! ” I didn't think he'd make the 5 conditions bad things. Ugh! Why didn't I consider that?!
“ Yessssss! ” The smirk on his face was cruelly handsome.
“ Fine ”

I was supposed to distract the receptionist while he ran away, but I felt sort of like a criminal.
“ Umm... Hi. My name is Paige Argent... And I think I'm... Pregnant ” I was so gonna kill Dorran for this.
“ Pr-Pregnant? ”
“ Yes um... Ah, it hurts. It hurts so much! ” I screeched in pain and everyone gathered as I collapsed onto the floor.
“ Let's check her up ” said a nurse and then they led me to a room.
As soon as we got there, I turned and said “ Thanks for all your concern, but I'm fine now ”
“ Young lady get back here! ” one nurse ordered
“ What about the baby? ” Asked another
“ Dead ” I said then ran to Matt who was standing in the driveway of the hospital
“ How's the baby? ”
“ I hate you! ”
“ Love you too, but not an answer ”
“ It's dead, like you will be in a few minutes if you keep talking ”
“ Aww, was it mine? ” I gagged and the smile on his face grew
“ You wish ” I said before walking ahead of him and flipping my hair; which had come undone; over my shoulders, and caught a glimpse of that devilishly handsome grin fading away, and boy was it satisfying.
