Chapter four.
Ronny has acted indifferent all morning, and I tried to.
When we arrived at school and I saw the two cars, I sighed but got out.
"Why can't we just ditch?" Ronny asked and I looked to her, my face concealed most of the bruise, but I couldn't stop the busted lip from looking any better.
"Because, today is a normal day, and I won't let anything get in our way of living life." I said as I walked to usual bench, bringing out my apple and polishing it on my shirt.
"Ughh.. Such a goody touches when you're at school." She said, feighning disgust but her smile she couldn't hide just made me roll my eyes, and not say much back, to her astonishment.
"How did things go last night?" Max and Abi show up, and I shrug, acting indifferent.
"Wait, why are you- Why are you injured!?" Max yells, making most of the schools eyes turn to the 'goody touches'. I looked at him and fake smiled.
"I fell. No big deal." I said and he narrowed his eyes at me, grabbing my forearm a little roughly and making me stumble as he shockingly made me stand.
"You're lying. What did they do to you?" I glanced over at them to see Dawson holding back Maddox with one hand and Ty holding Blaine with the other while Tristan glared at Max, well almost everyone was except Dawson who was staring at me impassively.
Flicking my gaze back to Max, I tried to step back but he snaked an arm around my waist.
"Tell me the truth. Are they forcing you to do something you don't want to do!? Tell me!" He yelled, his eyes burning with a passion of rage.
"Stop being over dramatic! I am fine, and like I said, I FELL! Ask Ronny, it was right after she met my parents last night, in the kitchen! I tripped over that part of the tile floor that broke, and I fell, catching my lip on another crack. Calm down, this has nothing to do with them, and accusing them isn't going to get you anywhere Max." I yelled at him, and before he could ask anymore questions, Franky ripped him away from me.
"What the fuck are you doing, Man? You never touch a girl like that, and you know it!" Franky yelled at his twin, and I looked to the ground where my apple was, and glared at it, like it was all the apples fault.
"Shut up! This is none of your business!" Max yelled at him, and Franky got even more mad and pushed Max. Before it could escelate, I stepped in between them.
"Just stop your fight. Don't do this here, and because of me is a stupid reason. I know you're both angry with me, but don't turn on each other because of MY past! It's useless and I won't allow it." I said to them both calmly, then turning knowing I had made my point. Grabbing my bag, I put it around my shoulder, looked to Ronny and Abi, nodded a bye to them and walking to first hour.
Max didn't sit by me, and that was fine, until I saw Blaine and Maddox coming up to me, the teacher giving up about two minutes into class, trying to put order in her class but after no one would go to the office when she tried to yell at a few students, she left the classroom.
"You lied to your boyfriend. Why." Maddox started and I sighed.
"He's not my boyfriend. What do you guys want." I said, bringing out my phone and texting Brant, telling him a few details he asked about our compromise.
"We want to know why you didn't tell your boy toy what I did to your face." Blaine spoke tauntingly and I looked up at him, seeing his cheek bone was worse than my lip and eye put together, and slowly stood up, not caring about the students or Max as I walked closer like a predator acting innocent around it's prey.
