Chapter 20- Our.
☆ ☆ ☆Zayn's P.O.V. ☆ ☆ ☆
Here it was, homestretch, one of us could either back out or we could both go through with it; either way we're both fucked in a sense.
The ride was quiet, Liam had returned to his bubbly bride behavior and I was back to the silent, deep thought thing. I just hoped whatever was on the other side it was what dream Liam had been whispering into my ears the past month. If not, I was leading Liam down a bad road.
Speaking of roads – ours was almost at the chapel; the excuse for a chapel that is.
It was a small blue building with one of the bell towers on top of it, though there wasn't a bell inside; it was merely for decoration. There was a drive-thru on the side we were driving towards and on top of that a relatively large sign that read: 'Drive-Thru Weddings!' I'd heard about those – never thought they were real though. Anyways, the building had white columns in the front with balloons and cheap, most likely fake flowers running up them.
I was getting married here? Yep, and worse? Liam looked more excited than if I just pulled up by a large-elaborate beach side marriage with all our friends and family. But.. No, it was a chipping paint building with fake flowers and a drive-thru wedding thing.
Whatever; I pulled into the parking lot and quickly jumped out, we were barely early and would be late in a few seconds. Traffic had been terrible, and our small sex scene back at the hotel hadn't helped time-wise.
I watched Liam jump out of the car and pretty much jump up to me, pressing a soft kiss against my lips before taking my hand and pretty much dragging me into the lobby room, which I should mention was as pathetic as the building itself.
There was a small desk (chipping paint like the rest of the building) with a small elderly woman behind it. She looked older than my grandmother before she'd died. There were signs plastered up about rental tuxedoes and cheap rings, both of which Li and I needed.
Hand-in-hand Liam pulled me up to the counter and smiled at the woman until she even realized we were standing there.
She suddenly looked up at us and smiled warmly, then looked back down at her papers.
"You have an appointment, dears?" her voice was soft, and as warm as her appearance.
"Um, yup it's in about three minutes actually." Liam sounded confident which only made my smile grow, he was kind of perfect.
"Names?" her eyes looked over the paper, her forehead crinkling slightly with confusion.
"Liam Payne and Zayn Malik." The minute it came out of his mouth the old woman smiled and nodded, putting the paper down and standing up before coming out to greet us.
"Do you need tuxedos or rings? Anything else if needed?"
"Um, actually we need two of each." I spoke up this time, taking Liam's spot for a change.
"Our rental policy is you have to change out of the rentals after the reception." She smiled again and motioned us over to a room besides the desk.
"What size are you dear?" the woman looked expectedly at Liam, then to me, "You can go pick a ring, I'll get him first."
Smiling wider than before, I walked over to the stand behind the small set up of manikins in tuxedoes and wedding dresses. The first ring I saw caught my eye, it was small and simple, but there was something about it that gave me a warm feeling.
I felt bad for rushing the 'picking process' but I liked the small first one more than the other ones. It was something special, and I wanted it on Liam's hand.
I picked it up, with the small purple velvet box it was inside. I felt right, it really did; marrying Liam. It felt perfect, the thought of it and everything.
The old woman was suddenly next to me and smiling at the ring before taking it gently from my hands and walking behind the counter, walking over to the register and looking at me, "This one?"
I nodded and smiled weakly at her, slipping my hand into my back pocket and pulling out my wallet for it.
"I'm covering the two tuxes and the rings,"
She nodded again and pressed the keys to the register and holding out a hand for my money, which I gladly handed over to her, I probably over paid, but didn't care.
"Keep the change, love."

Liam and I were dressed in tuxes that reeked of alcohol and desperation; we were facing each other with stupid smiles on our faces and a preacher next to us, asking us to say certain things; which we each did.
Though I did as I was told, I pretty much blocked out everything he said and just looked at Liam. He was gorgeous, I mean holy fuck, why weren't there more Liam girls? Take that back, he was mine.
After what seemed like hours there were small, golden rings wrapped around both of our fingers and our lips were pressed together. My heart was racing when we pulled apart, his brown eyes met mine and I felt more in love with him than ever.
He looked perfect, and was mine. All mine.
Our smiled spread suddenly when the realization hit us, we were married. For real, married. He pulled me in for another kiss for the hell of it then took my hand and started dragging me towards the exit, laughing loudly.
We both practically fell out of the chapel room and stumbled into the lobby, locking lips and laughing loudly.
Liam kissed me again, harder than before; we didn't even notice the old woman talking to us from behind the counter till she coughed loudly.
"Your suits?"
More laughs escaped our lips and I pulled him into the room where we'd bought the rings and rented the tuxes for the ceremony. Sure enough; our clothes were on the counter and folded nicely.
Liam grabbed our stuff and pulled my into the dressing room, with his help he got me out of the suit then I got him out of his. We were dressed again within seconds and out the door, a large tip left behind with our wrinkled, discarded suits in the dressing room.
Hopefully the old woman would find them, or someone honest.
Liam pulled me into my car with him and pressed his lips against mine yet again, the kiss was as desperate on his end as on mine. I barely even felt his hands under my shirt, I only felt him and his godlike lips.
I was going to have him forever, everyday we'd wake up in a hate-free world and be able to love each other. And it'd only hurt for a minute, right?
