"I...I think I want to leave..." Hoyeon's neutral expression cracked, finally showing how upset she was about Donghwi talking to Eunchae. Her hands clenched into tight fists. Her body tensed, making her muscles flex and stand out even more.

"Girl! What are you saying?" Chaeng couldn't believe Hoyeon. "You look strong but you're actually so weak! A fly is buzzing around your man in front of your eyes, yet you're not going to do anything? If I were you, I would've grabbed my stilettos and stabbed that ho to death, and then send her to the special hell where itchy women like her who seduce taken men belong."

"Yeah, I agree!" Alice said.

Surprisingly, Jisoo also nodded in agreement.

Jennie only looked at Hoyeon, waiting for her decision.

"I don't...I don't want that woman near Hwi. I want her to go away," Hoyeon finally shared her honest thoughts.

Jennie smiled at her answer. She had no idea that her feelings of protectiveness for her friend was being reinforced by the inconspicuous remnant inside her. It was making her bolder and more daring.

"Come on, girls. Let's go and swat that big fly away."

Without waiting for their reply, she flipped her hair back and started walking towards Donghwi and Eunchae's direction. Chaeng decisively followed her. Of course, Jisoo followed her best friend. Alice followed them but quickly returned to drag Hoyeon who didn't move from her spot.

A natural path opened up for them. The surrounding people just felt compelled to give way to Jennie without being asked. Some of them even greeted her warmly. She gave them a dazzling smile and a few waves. Their eyes were riveted to her smooth leg popping in and out of her dress with every step.

Finally, Jennie and the others reached Donghwi and Eunchae. The girls formed a semi-circle around the two, effectively trapping them to the wall.

Donghwi looked confused at first, but when he saw Hoyeon behind the others, he realized what his current situation must've looked like to others. He immediately distanced himself from Eunchae and stood beside Hoyeon.

Jennie and Chaeng caught the displeasure in Eunchae's expression before she quickly covered it up with a smile. Their eyes narrowed at the other woman's quick change in expression. Jisoo and Alice didn't catch it. Hoyeon didn't notice it either because she was focused on Donghwi.

"Elder Brother Hwi, I don't believe I've met this 'acquaintance' of yours before. Could you introduce us?" Jennie asked in her sweetest voice.

Chaeng gasped in an exaggerated manner. "Ruby, don't tell me you don't know who Miss Wu Eunchae is. She's a popular international interior designer!"

"Oh? Interior designer?" Jennie tilted her head to the side before turning to Donghwi. "Elder Brother, you're hiring this interior designer? For which place? The Gold Heights unit? Have you consulted with your 'girlfriend' first?" Without waiting for his reply, she directly asked Hoyeon instead. "Yeon, did you know about your boyfriend's plans of redecorating your unit?"

"Uh, no..." Hoyeon was too surprised at being asked suddenly that she just blurted out her answer without thinking about it first.

Both Jennie and Chaeng released exaggerated gasps of horror. To their side, Alice was struggling to control herself. She wanted to laugh so badly. As for Jisoo, she just stayed quiet but her stance showed that she supported what her best friend and sister were doing.

"Elder Brother, how can you not tell your 'girlfriend' first?" Jennie looked at Donghwi as if he just committed an unpardonable crime.

Donghwi cleared his throat, feeling uncomfortable all of a sudden. He moved closer to Hoyeon. Then he explained to Jennie, "You're mistaken, little sister. I'm not planning on redecorating anything. Eunchae and I are just talking as old friends."

Then he began making introductions.

"Nice to meet all of you," Eunchae greeted them with wide smile. "I just returned to the country from the U.S., that's why I'm very excited to reconnect with Hwi. We're 'very close'." Then she turned to Hoyeon. "Hi, there. I remember you. You're Hwi's bodyguard, aren't you? Are you on duty right now?"

Jennie's eyes turned cold.

Hoyeon paled but still answered. "N-no. I'm not his bodyguard anymore."

"Yeon is my girlfriend and the mother of my son," Donghwi told Eunchae. He also hooked his hand around her waist to prove his point.

Eunchae looked furious for less than a second before putting on a surprised expression. "Oh. So she's the one. I see. I didn't expect that you'll get together with your former bodyguard... Oh! Please do forgive my careless words. They're not meant to be offensive."

"Do you have amnesia or something? Ruby just referred to Big Sis Yeon as Big Brother Hwi's girlfriend just a few moments ago and yet you're acting so surprised now," Alice mumbled under her breath.

Eunchae's expression wavered but she still smiled at Alice. "Ah, forgive me. I must've missed it earlier. It's quite noisy here especially with a lot of people present in this party. Not to mention that I'm still suffering a bit from jet lag."

"Miss Wu, you just mentioned that you're 'very close' to Big Brother. I thought the two of you already broke up. Do you still maintain communications with each other?" Chaeng asked.

"Yes."

"No."

Donghwi frowned at Eunchae's answer. "We stopped all communications after we broke up." Then he turned to Hoyeon. "We really have no communications at all. This is the first time that we've talked to each other since we broke up."

"Hwi, what do you mean by that? I always send you greetings on your birthday or during New Year."

"But I never once replied to you. That's not communication," Donghwi said.

This time, Eunchae wasn't able to maintain her friendly expression any longer. Her lips were still smiling, but the look in her eyes hardened.

"Oh, then that means that you're not 'very close' at all," Chaeng interjected. "Miss Wu, that's very misleading, you know."

"I agree," Jennie nodded sagely. "What if Elder Brother's 'girlfriend' here misunderstands? What's more, they already have a child together. Be careful because others might accuse you of being a homewrecker, Miss...uh, Miss..." She turned to Chaeng and asked in a loud whisper, "What's her name again? I forgot."

"Miss Wu. Her name is Miss Wu," Chaeng whispered to Jennie's ear, making sure that it was loud enough for the entire group to hear, including Eunchae herself.

Eunchae turned red from humiliation and fury.
