"Kat? Kathleen! Can you hear me? Earth to Kathleen Summers!!" Melinda shouted.
"What? Oh, sorry Melinda."
"You better be. I need you to lock up tonight, can you do that?" she snapped. I'd pissed her off.
"Yeah. I can tell Louis I'm working later," I said, taking out my phone.
"Alright. I'll see you on Monday Kat. Goodnight," she said, heading toward the door.
"Night Mel," I called back. She left, and it felt really empty in the store. I walked throughout the aisles and couldn't help but think it was a little eerie. I stocked up a few shelves, mopped the floors, and got ready to leave when someone walked in. I couldn't see their face, and I was starting to get scared.
"Excuse me, we're closed," I said. The person looked over at me and came up to me.
"I don't care, I need something, and I need it now," he snapped. Yeah it's a guy judging by the voice.
"I'm sorry, it's going to have to wait until tomorrow sir. I'm locking up righ-"
"I don't care!" he shouted, pinning me to the wall.
"Hey!" I turned my head and relief flooded through me when I saw Louis.
"Louis!" I cried. He ran over to me and pulled me away from the man. Once I was free, he pushed me behind him.
"What do you want?" Louis snapped.
"You watch yourself Tomlinson. You could get yourself hurt. I came to get some paint for my garage, when that little slut told me this place is closed," he said pointing at me. I felt Louis' muscles tense, and saw his jaw tightening.
"She's not a slut, and you'd better watch your actions toward her. I will find out whatever you do to her, then I will kill you."
"Is that a threat Tommy?"
"No, it's a promise," Louis said through clenched teeth. "I suggest you leave."
"I was planning on it. After I got my paint."
"You can get it tomorrow. Leave. Now!" The man looked at me with a look that could kill, turned, and left. Louis immediately turned to me. "Are you alright? He didn't hurt you did he?"
"I'm fine Louis. My shoulders hurt from him pushing me though. He didn't hurt me badly, but my shoulders may bruise." He didn't look happy at all. "Louis, who was that?"
"Don't worry about it."
"I kind of need to worry about it considering he would've killed me if you hadn't showed up!" I shouted. He looked at me and I saw his eyes darken to his blue black.
"I said don't worry about it!" he shouted, pinning me to the wall by my wrists.
"Louis, calm down!" I cried, trying to free my wrists. I eventually did, and I gently stroked his cheek. "Louis, calm down. This isn't you," I said gently. His anger disappeared, and he closed his dark eyes. He opened them again to reveal his puppy like pale blue eyes. He locked them on my brown ones.
"I'm sorry," he whispered. He backed away. We left the store after I locked the doors, and went back to his. "He's a guy that really hates me, but I don't know why. He wanted to kill you because you caught his eye, but you're taken. He knew who you were, he follows me around sometimes. He's kind of a stalker," he chuckled. We were sitting in his kitchen eating ice cream we picked up on the way here.
"That's not weird at all," I said sarcastically. He laughed and we finished our ice cream. After that, he somehow managed to get me to watch Paranormal Activity 4. I would scream and bury my face in his chest. He would only laugh, and give me a reassuring squeeze of my hand.
"Babe, it's over. You can open your eyes now," he chuckled. I opened my tightly closed eyes and saw Louis sitting there laughing at me.
"It's not funny!" I whined. After that we went to bed. Me, well I stayed snuggled against Louis because I was scared half to death. Sleep was not kind to me that night.
