In the days after Louis' little break down, we really got to know each other. We actually have a lot more in common than I thought. Our favorite color is red, we both like the same music, we were both from England, and he has surprisingly good fashion sense. He did have a couple more episodes, but he got over them. It seemed that he was soothed by the sound of my voice when he was in mid episode. I just needed to talk to him, and he would go back to his sweet self.
"Ok Tabby Kat, what do you wanna do now?"
"I don't know, wanna watch a movie?"
"Sure, what movie do you wanna watch?"
"Let's watch Titanic. I've never seen it, but I hear it's an excellent movie."
"You've never seen Titanic?!" he screamed. I giggled at his little freak out and shook my head. "We'll just have to fix that," he said with a smirk. We got the movie from a redbox and headed back to my place. He popped the DVD in and sat down on my couch while I made popcorn. By the end, we both had tears in our eyes and were surrounded with piles of tissues.
"That is so sad!" I said, sniffling when Jack died.
"I know right! They made a promise and he goes and dies on her like that!" he cried. As soon as the movie was over, we cleaned up our faces and settled back on the couch.
"Now what?" I asked.
"Now I guess we go to bed. Don't you have work tomorrow?"
"Shit, that's right. Yeah, let's go to bed." I crawled into my soft bed and dove under the duvet. I felt a dip in the bed and turned to see Louis climbing into my bed.
"What? I'm not sleeping on the couch!" he whined. I rolled my eyes and turned back over. I felt his arm go round me, pulling me closer. "I don't bite love," he whispered. His breath tickled my ear. I relaxed and fell asleep.
"Kat, I need you to stock the shelves in aisle 3," Melinda said. I was tired from my late night with Louis. I nodded and grabbed the boxes from Melinda. I was slowly stocking the shelves, when I felt arms snake around my waist.
"Hey love." I smiled at the sound of his voice and turned around. He was sporting a striped t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black Toms.
"Hi Louis. What are you doing here, I'm working," I said turning back to continue stocking the shelves.
"I wanted to see you, and take you out to lunch," he said. I finished quickly, with a little help from Louis on the higher shelves.
"Melinda I'm going on lunch!" I called.
"Ok, be back in about an hour!" He took me to a small sandwich shop for lunch. The sandwiches there were amazing, and I decided to make it my new sandwich place.
"Bye Louis, I need to get back to work," I giggled as he kissed up and down my arms. He smiled and planned one last kiss on my cheek.
"Bye love. I'll pick you up later." The rest of work seemed to go by in a blur. Business was slow today, so Melinda let me go early. I called Louis to tell him to come get me, but he was at work too. I had to go the old fashioned way, walking. At least it wasn't dark, ans there were some people outside.
"Hey Kat! Wait up!" I turned and saw Teagan running to catch up with me.
"Hey, it's been ages!" I said when he caught up.
"Yeah, hey listen. Your little boyfriend, told me to stay away from you."
"What? Why would he do that, we're just friends."
"Exactly, so he has no authority over who you can and can-"
"No, Teagan, you and I. We're just friends. I don't see what could possibly be going on between us." He looked a little hurt at that, but shook it off.
"Right...Just friends...nothing else."
"Look, T it's been nice, but I have to go, he'll be back soon. See you around." I walked off toward my flat without looking back. Why would Louis tell him to stay away? We're only friends, but it could be that protective side of him. I decided to leave it alone for now.
"Siamese Kat, I'm home!" he practically sang. I walked out while I was putting my hair up in a tight bun.
"Well hey there," I said, quickly pecking his cheek.
"Gather your stuff, we're spending the night at mine tonight." I nodded and grabbed a change of clothes and a pair of sweats to sleep in. It was a long drive to his flat, but it was made fun by stupid questions.
"Have you ever jumped a fence?" He asked.
"No. Have you ever seen a Penguin throw up?"
"No, but that sounds awesome. Do you like pigeons?"
"Yes and no. They're kind of dumb, and gross, but they're really clever at finding food."
"We're here!" I looked out the window to see we were in a very ghetto part of town. A small block of flats stood across the street from where we'd parked. I saw many people outside, mainly guys. I felt a little scared, so I scooted closer to Louis. He noticed and put an arm around me, pulling me even closer so that our hips were bumping together. "I won't let them hurt you," he whispered.
We stepped into his flat, and he locked the door. Despite the part of town it was in, his flat was very nice. He was a very messy boy, but it was clean enough for me.
"Why were those boys looking at me?"
"Because I never really bring girls here, so they were curious as to why I have one," he chuckled. It made sense, but they looked dangerous, so I was still a little on edge. He made some pasta for dinner, and it was delicious. We watched a movie, played 20 questions, and went to bed. This evening was very uneventful, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen.
