"Evan, you are going to hate me. I've been throwing up all morning. There is no way I can go out with you tonight."

"Maddie, c'mon. I've been going to these things by myself for months. I was excited to bring someone with me for once."

"You've still got an extra ticket. Just take someone else."

"Like who?"

"I don't know, maybe your best friend?" Good to know that despite being sick, she's still able to be sarcastic.

"I don't know if this is something Eddie would really like."

"I'm sure he'll say yes if you're the one who asks him."

"Yeah... I guess. I just... I really like these things, and don't get me wrong, I love Eddie and all, but if I drag him somewhere he doesn't want to be, he can kinda be a downer."

"Just ask him Buck."

"Fine. I will... what about the eyeliner?" He asks slightly embarrassed. He could go out and buy some of his own, but he knows he wouldn't use it often enough.

"I'll try to have Chim drop it off for you. I'm sure you'll figure out how to use it."

"Alright."

"I love you, and I'm sorry for bailing last minute. We should find another one and go when we're both free again."

"Yeah, yeah. Love you too. Hope you feel better. Call if you need anything."

"I will. Bye, Buck."

"Bye, Mads." He disappointedly hangs up the phone. He goes back into his contacts. He contemplates calling someone else. Hen, maybe Karen. She might like something like this. There is no way in hell he could convince Bobby to go, although the image is entertaining. He decides that he would have the most fun with Eddie. As long as he is down for it. He can always call someone else if he isn't.

"Hey."

"What's up?"

"Got any plans tonight?"

"Nah, Chris is at a friend's house. Did ya have something in mind?"

"Well, I was... I was supposed to go to this thing with Maddie, but she's sick and can't go, and I was kinda wondering if you'd like to come."

"What is it?"

"A concert..." Buck is hesitant.

"What kind of concert?" Eddie laughs.

"A punk concert..."

"Punk? Since when do you listen to punk?"

"I don't... not really. I mean, you don't have to know the words to dance to the music. You can't really understand what they're saying most of the time anyway. But it's like really cool and there's always a bunch of cool people and they've got these cool clothes and the mosh pit is sick. Like you just jump and push people around and shit."

"You've been to one of these before?"

"Mhm. A few actually. The past couple months... It's been a good way to get some of my extra energy out. I just haven't talked about it 'cause I thought it might sound kinda dumb..." He thinks it's cool as hell, but going to a concert where he doesn't know the words to get out some energy... he thinks it might make him sound kinda dumb.

"Not dumb at all, Buck. I'll go with you."

"Okay, I'll uhh... I'll have something for you to wear 'cause I'm sure you don't have anything appropriate for this kinda thing."

"Okay... how punk are we talking here, Buck?"

"Probably more than you'd expect from me... if you don't wanna come I could call Hen or Karen maybe. I just thought I'd have more fun with you."
