DIMLY LIT ROOM - NIGHT
(HM is sitting on a chair, glancing at KS, who is sleeping peacefully on the bed. Suddenly, KS's eyes flutter open, and she smiles softly.)
HM:(shocked) Ufff! Bach gai haseena! Aaj to tumhari kher nahi. Pyaar bhi kiya to kisse? Police waali se kitne sawaal karti!
(Pauses as if speaking to herself)
Abhi aap kya kar rahi hai? Kyu aayi hain? Itni raat yahan? Kahin hamse badla to nahi lene aayi hain, pata nahi kya kya puchti...
(Chuckles nervously)Pr ek bhi sawaal kaam ka nahi puchti!
KS :(playfully) Accha, to kya puchna tha hame aap se?
(HM freezes, a mix of surprise and fear. She glances behind her, half-expecting someone else.)
HM(stammering) Wahi... woh... kuch nhi !!!
Feeling a rush of fear, HM stands up abruptly.)
(But when HM looks back, KS is sleeping deeply and peacefully, full of love.)
Ye to sorahi hai !!! Yaa allah kuch Zyada hi jadoo chal gaya hai, Miss Singh ka. Ab hame sunai bhi dene lagi hai, ya Allah!
HM: (muttering to herself) Haseena beta jaldi yaha se niklo issse pehle sach main sawal suru hojaaye !!!.As she turns to leave.
(DINING ROOM - MORNING)
The family is gathered around the breakfast table. MALAIKA enters with breakfast and tea.
M:(cheerfully) Sab ke liye nasta aur chai le aayi hoon!
HM : (looking around)
Hamari coffee kaha hai
KS : (teasingly)
Haan laao, inki kaala coffee.
HM : (surprised)
Aap aise bol kaise sakti hai?
KS : (playfully) Ohh Kyu, aapko bura laga? Aapke coffee ko kaala keh diya. Achha, bura mat maaniye, inki savlii coffee laao.
HM: (correcting)
KS Ye kaali coffee nahi hai, na savlii. Ye espresso coffee hai. Aap jo kaala kaala coffee keh rahi hai, usse americano kehte hai.
KS: (dismissively)
Bhkk, coffee coffee hoti hai. Waise bhi, hume pasand nahi. Hamari chai bhali, simple chai.
HM: (sighs)
Huhhhh.
KS : (smirks)
Huhhh.
M:(interjecting) Dii, coffee to khatam ho gayi hai. Chai hai Karishma didi ke haath ki.
HM : (reluctantly)
Thik hai, wahi laao.
KS : (teasing)
Kyu, piyo naa coffee.
HM : (smiling)
Par hame peeni hai naa aap ke haath ki chai. Hame pasand hai.
Everyone at the table, including PS JI, AMMI, MALAIKA, and SANTU, looks at HASEENA in shock.
HM: (laughs nervously)
Hehe, aisa kya? Aap sab mujhe hi dekh rahe hai?
AMMI : (surprised)
Tumne abhi kya kaha? Tumhe chai pasand hai?
PS JI : (correcting) Nahi, aapne galat suna. Haseena ne kaha isse Karishma ke haath ki chai pasand hai.
