He plopped his big veiny hand over her right cheek and nudged his thumb with her lower lip. "If I go away from your life, everything will become fine for you. Right?"
She raised a brow. "What do you mean?"
"You are feeling all these negative emotions because of me. Because of my love which is acting like a rope in your feet. If I won't be here, you can get all those lost things back in your life," he stated.
She first stared at him silently before laughing slightly. "Are you kidding me? A person like you wouldn't even free a bird that his eyes had caught earlier; his wife is far-fetched. You want to capture me in this golden cage and want me to even die here."
Masab shrugged his shoulders. "You know everything, Andaleeb. I am a cruel, selfish, and possessive man who wants to rule over you. Then why are you making things difficult for you by not accepting this as your fate?"
She clenched her jaw tightly and glared at him. He wasn't right. He wasn't cruel. He wanted to rule over her but that wasn't in a negative way. He was ruling over her whole being by his love. His love was affecting her and that was why her frustration was increasing. Had he been anything like he mentioned, she would have continued hating him. However now she didn't despise him. It was so difficult to do so. The girl inside her who wanted to be loved liked how this strong, tough, and heartless man loved her.
"I won't let you do that," she murmured.
Masab moved ahead and pressed his lips against her temple. "Have this medicine. It will help your headache."
Her head was really hurting so much now. On his urge, Andaleeb really took the pill from his palm. She put it in her mouth before gulping the water in one big sip. Her eyes were burning right now. Soon she found no strength in her body to support her. She dropped herself over the mattress as her eyes closed with each passing second. Soon under the effect of medicine, she found herself going into the deep valley of sleep.
Masab glanced at her sleeping form without making any sound. She looked peaceful now. Her long eyelashes were making a shadow over her rosy cheeks. On the other hand, a few lines of tears fell over her cheeks as her eyes were closed now. Her pink lips were in a pout. She looked innocent and pure.
And maybe she really didn't deserve it. She didn't deserve to trust and love someone who was never sincere with her and, worse, who wanted to take advantage of her. She didn't deserve what her father and uncles did with her. And perhaps she didn't deserve to remain in the darkness of the truth and reality that he was a killer and he murdered the man she loved. She didn't deserve to become the wife of a person like him who couldn't give her the companionship of a lifetime.
The happening in that hotel room from a few months ago flashed in front of him, and it aggravated him. Masab folded his fingers in a fist as it became out of control for him to resist doing something worse. He wished that he could have really killed that man on the spot. He wished that someday he could see the hatred for that guy in Andaleeb's eyes.
