Anshika's pov

"Only for you, biwi sahiba," he replied shamelessly.

"Don't you have any shame?" I retorted, covering my blush.

"Ab aapke samne kaisi sharam?" he replied, and my cheeks flushed.

"Abhi, abhi aap ghar jaiye," I said, swiftly changing the subject.

"Sasurji se milke jaunga na?" he replied.

"No, no, that's unacceptable. What will he think of us?" I replied.

"Kya sochenge? Main apni biwi se milne aaya huu," he stated.

I understood that telling him to leave was futile. "Do whatever you want," I said, exasperated, and retreated to the washroom.

Anurag's pov

I reveled in the effect I had on her. Her blush was captivating; she looked adorable, and unmistakably mine. My gaze fell upon her iPad. Ah, what's this? She's a dark romance enthusiast.

"Don't worry, baby; you'll soon experience this in real life," I smirked.

As I turned to leave, my foot caught on something. I bent down to investigate and was shocked to find a diary. "Does Anshika keep a diary?" I wondered. "How well do I really know her?" my inner voice mocked me.

I put the diary behind me and checked my business emails. Just then, Anshika emerged from the bathroom, radiant and breathtaking in her red kurti.

Her bright face and bold lipstick left me mesmerized.

"How stunning you'll look, baby, when your lipstick is smudged, and you moan my name beneath me," I thought, smirking.

Ugh my unholy thoughts

But then I noticed her searching for something - her diary, perhaps? Oh no, I had to hide it. This was my chance to uncover her secrets.

"What are you hiding?" she asked, her eyes narrowing.

"Nothing, nothing," I stuttered.

Her suspicious gaze lingered, and I knew I had to conceal the diary. Just in time, Sasu Ma intervened.

"Anshi beta, aaja, breakfast is ready," she called out.

"Ji, Mummy, aayi," Anshika replied, casting me a dubious glance before heading downstairs.

Thank God, Sasu Ma saved me. I swiftly hid the diary in my coat and followed Anshika.

Author's pov

Anshika's parents were taken aback by Anurag's sudden appearance, but they swiftly composed themselves and exchanged a knowing glance. "When did you arrive?" they asked, feigning nonchalance.

"I came this morning," Anurag replied, his eyes locked on Anshika. "I wanted to take my wife home."

As they conversed, Anshika's cousins playful teased the couple, their banter filling the air.

Just then, Anurag's phone buzzed with an email from his PA. "Excuse me," he said, his expression turning serious. "I need to attend to this."

He hastily retreated to his office, instructing Anshika and Aradhya, "Get ready by evening. I'll pick you up."

In the evening

Anurag picked up Anshika and Aradhya from their home and began driving to their destination. As the car glided smoothly through the streets, Aradhya drifted off to sleep, exhausted from the day's excitement.

Anshika, seated beside Anurag, remained silent, her gaze lost in the darkness outside the window. Her heart ached, bidding farewell to her parents, despite their complicated relationship.

Sensing her melancholy, Anurag sought to lift her spirits. He smiled warmly and played her favorite song( which he got to know from her diary, that he read in his office when he was finally free ), its soothing melody filling the car.

As the song's uplifting lyrics filled the air, Anshika's mood transformed, and a radiant smile spread across her face. Anurag's eyes sparkled with delight, thrilled to see her happiness.

They arrived home, and Anshika warmly greeted her in-laws. With reverence, she bent and touched their feet.

"Bless you, beta," they said, showering her with affection. "Get freshened up, dinner will wait."

After refreshing themselves, they gathered around the dinner table. The late hour, coupled with the distance from Anshika's parental home, had delayed their meal.

In their room

Anurag went to sleep beside Anshika.

But Anshika declared , making him shocked"you will sleep on the couch"
