october 11th

it had offically been around a month since nick and alaina had met. today alaina was going round to nicks house for the first time. mainly just to meet his dog, nellie.

alaina got ready into some grey sweatpants, a black cropped top and some black converse. she then topped it off with some gold jewellery and left her hair down. as she were about to head out the door, she got a call from her mum. "i'm really sorry dear, but i'm gonna need you to watch theo today. i've been called back to stay later at work." alaina sighed but agreed to look after him.

alaina:
hey nick, im really sorry but my mum needs me to look after my little brother today. :(

nick:
hey! thats not problem, you can bring him round aswell.

alaina:
are you sure thats okay?

nick:
ofc! :)

"come on theo, we're going to see one of my friends today."

alaina and her younger brother made their way to nicks house. "here we are" stated alaina. theo rang the doorbell then out came nicholas nelson with an adorable border collie beside him.
"hi" nick said awkwardly
"hi!" replied alaina whilst petting nellie as she wagged her tail.
"i think she likes you more than me!" said nick sarcasticly.
alaina and theo chuckled.
nick then introduced himelf to theo until he suggests "you two better come inside otherwise nellie will think she's going on a walk."
alaina giggled whilst making her way in. there stood nick's mum happily making her way towards alaina. "thankyou so much for inviting us into your lovely home" spoke aliana whilst admiring the place.
"its really no problem, you're welcome any time." added sarah.

"so what would you two like to do then?" asked nick.
"mario kart!" cheered theo.
"okay.. mario kart it is!" laughed nick. alaina loved how sweet nick was being with her younger brother. in some odd way it was sort of attravtive??

they were about three rounds into mario kart until theo bellowed "its snowing!" they all ran to the window to watch the snowy droplets fall gently onto the ground.
"wait here" nick ordered as he rummaged around his bedroom only to find a light grey sweater.  which he then passed to alaina so she wouldn't get cold in the snow.
after that, they all made their way into the garden. alaina and nick made snow angles together whilst theo built himself a snowman. during this time, nick made sure to take lots of photos so he could cherish this moment forever. soon after, alaina and theo had to go home.
she was just about to pass nick his sweater back until he said "keep it, it looks better on you anyway."
she thanked him whilst blushing.

later that night,

"alaina seems like a lovely girl, when did you meet her?"
sarah asked.

"hmm.. around a month ago" replied nick.

"she's very different from your other friends isn't she? you seem much more yourself around her."

"do i?"

"you do."

nick smiled whilst looking down admiring the photos he had taken with her earlier that day.
