The moment you stepped into the house, he immediately criticised you. "I can't believe you're friends with a person who interrupts Oyakata-sama and carries a demon. You should get better friends."

"Don't talk about Tanjiro like that! He's a nice young boy! Who also has the potential to even be a Hashira! You should try being friends with him for once!" You bickered.

"It's pointless. Besides, you should be focused on training instead of doing useless things. I'm assigning you to learn Total Concentration Constant."

"Total Concentration Constant! No way that's possible!"

"All the Hashiras can do it. Shinobu's Tsuguko can do it, too. It greatly improves your swordsmanship. I will go to a festival with you if you do it."

"Then is it possible for you to stay up 24 hours? Can you help me when I accidentally sleep and stop doing total concentration? Will you wake me up?" You asked.

"Fine if I can go to one less festival. I will do it," Muichiro replied.

"What!? They just cancelled each other out!" You pouted.

He rolled his eyes and stared at you. He waited for you to begin your total concentration. He would lightly punch your stomach when you were breathing the wrong way. He kept your posture straight, and you could feel something different. Your breathing was different until you stopped when your lungs felt like they were exploding. You did it while swinging the sword that Muichiro had instructed. You ran with total concentration. You did everything with total concentration. You were able to notice the difference in your abilities when you sparred with Muichiro. But you were not done yet; you have not done it in your sleep.

"Will you really wake me up?" You questioned Muichiro with uncertainty.

"Yes," he replied gruffly before remembering he asked you a question to let you ponder. "Did you ponder on the question I asked? The one where I asked on your first day in the butterfly mansion."

"Yes. Do you want my answer right now?" You got up and looked at him. He nodded his head with an aloof look. "I joined because my sister got killed. She taught me everything, and I want to protect more people from demon attacks. So they never will face the tragic loss of their loved ones. That's why I joined. I know it's a super common reason, but it's what makes me work hard. I want to, if possible, contribute to the downfall of Kibutsuji Muzan! I want to make him pay!" You clenched the blanket of your futon with each word you spoke, your voice growing more passionate.

Muichiro's eyes softened, and a satisfactory smile spread across his face at your words. "That's a good answer. You will make it far in the corps," his face reverted back to its stoic state. Alright, get to sleep. If you want a chance to actually fight Muzan, master this technique."

You started drifting to sleep with total concentration in mind. He would poke your stomach with the hilt of his katana whenever you stopped doing total concentration.

"Y/n sure is lazy but hardworking." He mumbled as he was slowly falling asleep.

A few days passed, and you finally mastered the skill. You ran to Muichiro, happily informing him, "Tokito-sama! I finished learning total concentration, constant!"

"That's amazing... Go warm up; we will have a spar," Muichiro said in his usual tone.

You warmed up and got ready to spar. You could finally keep up with his pace. Though there were some slip-ups, you were doing so much more than the first time you spared with him. Despite losing, he complimented you. You were over the moon hearing him, as he rarely talks to you. You watched him walk to his room, taking out a few pieces of paper. He then started folding them into paper aeroplanes. You noticed from the past few days that he would always do that whenever he was free. He looked happier than usual. You would just watch him, even though it felt a bit wrong to do that, but it was so rare to see him so happy.
