Chapter 7- A New Him

'The training plan for Y/n L/n' you picked up the piece of paper with poor handwriting. It was barely legible, but you could read what he wrote. You looked at the backyard and saw all the items prepared for training: a boulder and a dummy. You recalled your recent mission, knowing from that experience you must work harder to be like Muichiro. Cut one of the twelfth Kizuki's heads in one swing. You started with the boulder training, pushing around the estate like a madman until your arm felt like Jello. You ran around the estate at Lightning speed, trying to keep at this pace making sure you could run like this at your usual speed. You took breaks in between your training before starting over again.

*Knock knock*

You stopped what you were doing and looked at the entrance. You walked towards it and slid open the door to reveal the Love Hashira! Kanroji Mitsuri is a lady with three braids and pink hair with green tips. She had those bright lime green eyes and was wearing a white Haori. You admired her beauty for a while before she asked, "Is Tokito-kun here?"

"No, he went to the swordsmith village. Do you need me to relay a message to him when he's back?" You asked. "Sorry for keeping you out! Would you like to come in?" You quickly apologised, feeling embarrassed for letting someone of a higher rank stand outside. She excitedly accepted your offer, and you guided Mitsuri into the living room, tea served to her.

"To reply to your question earlier, I was just checking up on his...progress," She stammered her words a little at the end. "Y/n-san, do you like anyone!?" She suddenly held out your hand with glimmering hope and anticipation in her eyes.

You were so shocked by her sudden action, that whatever she asked flew over your head. You requested to repeat a question, and she did it enthusiastically. "Right now, sort of but not really...I don't think I have time for it right now since I still haven't avenged my friend's death by seeing Muzan dead," you replied to her question with a sombre tone in your voice. "Maybe if I'm still in this job, a few years later, and if I haven't found a partner yet. I will consider finding one," you added, scratching your head with a nervous smile.

"I love the way you think!!!" Mitsuri praised you with a higher pitch than usual. "What about Tokito-kun? What do you think about him?" She asked with her hand clenched at the side of her face, her eyes filled with anticipation again and a big smile crept up.

"Tokito-sama!? No! I cannot even think of liking him! I mean I might have the tiniest bit of a crush on him but he's so out of my league! Plus, he's so young! And I think he should live out his childhood more!" You immediately denied thinking about Muichiro as a target for your love. You don't even feel worthy to love him, and he seems so aloof and cold. However, subconsciously you know he Is a caring person.

"What if he was older? Like eighteen or nineteen?" She asked with her head slightly tilted to the left, her finger tapping her cheek.

"Oh, then I would probably try to pursue him, but he's way out of my league! He's so skilled and even though he always has that stoic face I know he is gentle and kind! I admire him a lot even though he is a year younger than me! I'm grateful that he picked me to be his Tsuguko!" You ranted your thoughts with a big smile on your face.

Mitsuri laughed at your action and got up after finishing her teatime. She thanked you and said she was heading to the swordsmith village too. You bid her farewell and watched her disappear into the distance. You haven't seen your friends in a while so you decided it would be a good idea to visit your friends recovering at the butterfly mansion. You skipped your way there with excitement, Muichiro has always kept you up in the Mist estate that you never got to think about going out.

"Tanjiro!" You waved to him as you entered his ward. "What mission did you come back to be this beat up?" You asked him with anticipation.

"We just came back from the entertainment district, and we fought Upper Moon Six," He replied with his usual smile.
