KINN

I closed my eyes shut just as soon as I heard the ring of the gun go off, three continuous bullets were fired. The faint sound of cartridges falling down from the barrel sounded too livid to my ears.

I am just not too sure if those were aimed at me or the five goons surrounding me. The pulse of my heart has risen rapidly, and I know this least in biology that if you are dead, your heart won't beat or at least it can't be this loud.

I mean, I am not sure if this  guy was an ally of mine. But… I hold a strong belief that he won't go all the way like this to kill me.

Otherwise, he had a great escape from this massacre and if he just wanted me to die. Then all these guys were already hell bent to do so.

I opened one of my eyes slightly as my breath rumbled furiously in my chest as I glanced around myself. Three henchmen laid dead near me, or maybe just unconscious… I am not sure, but I do see bullets pierced through their bodies.

So,yeah I was right. He didn't actually kill me.

My eyes wandered to the exact point where he last was, on top of the enormous vehicle. As I watched him kneeling at the ground, while still being held by my collar by two people. His glory seemed to increase by tenfold. He stood there in his pride, his power and his charm.

He had held a headlock on my enemy's neck and had got him rolled under his arm. No matter how hard the guy writhed under him, just his one hand was enough to hold him steady.

The more I analyse the situation, as my eyes wander back to the weapon that he already had thrown over his shoulder after efficiently using it. I can make only one conclusion, he  is not what he seems to be.

There is no way a random mechanic would know how to fucking use a machine gun. I mean, I know it. But it's explainable since I am involved with the underworld.

But…

Something feels wrong about him and I can't put my finger on it.

I kept staring at him as I meddled with my thoughts, until they were pierced by his sharp amber gaze. He looked straight into my eyes without a single emotion being reflected in his orbs. All I could see was a blank paint of something rouge.

His complex is more complicated than what I could have imagined.

We held eye contact until I was knocked down with a sharp blow in my head. A piercing pain shot through my skull as I felt my head throb and my body going numb with the effect.

Although, it seems like I can't even move a finger. I just can't remain lying here watching people stomp their feet over me.

“Leave the kid alone!” his voice resonated in my ears as I picked up my gaze from the dust that was layering my face to now stare at him.

His command was powerful as he choked the masked guy even harder under his grip.

“And why should we even listen to you?” the two guy's hovering above me, stepped forward putting a foot over my back claiming a fucked up victory.
