Starfire's POV

The elevator doors slid open with a soft ding as I burst into the room of the common with my heart racing with  excitement.

Clutched in my arms was a small black cat, its fur was doing the glistening in the soft light of the common area.

"Look, friends! I have found...the cat!" I exclaimed, my voice echoing as I beamed at Cyborg and Beast Boy.

They turned to me, surprise painted across their faces. "A cat?" Beast Boy echoed, his eyes widening. "Dude, that's awesome!"

Cyborg leaned forward, raising an eyebrow. "Where did you find it?"

"It was alone and scared in the alley! I could not leave it there!" I said, cradling the little creature closer.

The cat mewed softly, nuzzling against me, and my heart swelled with affection.

Beast Boy's POV

"Man, that cat is adorable! What are you going to name it?"

"Mr Sassy Pants'!" starfire said

Just then, Raven popped in after shutting her book.

"Starfire, we can't adopt another pet," Raven said, her voice steady but laced with disapproval. "We already have Silkie and Quackers. That's enough chaos for one tower."

Starfire's face fell, her eyes turning puppy-like, and I could see the wheels turning in her head. "But Raven, this cat is the all alone! It needs a home," she pleaded.

"Give it a chance, Rae." Cyborg chimed in, nudging her shoulder. "What's one more pet gonna do?"

Raven sighed, her resolve wavering slightly, but she stood up, brushing her hair behind her ear. "Whatever. I'm going to my room," she said, turning away.

Raven's POV

I retreated to my room with a mixture of frustration and guilt inside me. Why did Starfire always have to find a new pet?

We barely had enough room for our existing ones. As I settled at my desk, I opened my laptop and began watching My Little Pony, seeking some comfort in the animated world.

Just then, I heard a soft scratching at my door. I opened it to find the little black cat staring up at me with its big almond eyes.

I kneeled down, extending my hand slowly. The cat sniffed at my fingers, then rubbed against them, purring softly.

"Okay, maybe you're not so bad,"

Beast Boy's POV

Meanwhile, in the common room, I was on a mission. "I'll give the cat a bath!"

I announced, filled with determination. I gathered some towels and a small basin, thinking it would be easy.

But after a chaotic few minutes, filled with splashes and hisses, I emerged with scratches all over my arms.

"Dude, what happened?" Cyborg laughed, eyeing my battle wounds.

"I might have underestimated how much the cat hates water,"

I said sheepishly

"But it's all good! We need to figure out what to do with it now."

Starfire and Cyborg exchanged glances, then we all shrugged.

"Let's just let it be for now," Cyborg suggested, and we wandered back to the common room leaving Sassy Pants to explore the tower on its own.

Raven's POV

As I sat on my bed, the cat eventually wandered into my room again.

Just then, Beast Boy popped his head into my room with a cheeky grin on his face. "Hey, Raven! How's Sassy Pants?"

I looked at the cat, who was now purring happily in my lap. "Not bad,"

I admitted, trying to sound indifferent. But deep down, I was starting to enjoy the little creature's presence.

"Hey, why don't I turn into a cat too? You can pet me just like you're petting that one!"

He transformed before I could respond, a small green cat now sitting beside the black one.

I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the situation. "Really, Beast Boy?" I rolled my eyes but reached out to pet him, too.

He leaned into my touch, purring louder than the black cat. In that moment, I felt a spark between us.

a shared understanding and connection that went deeper than usual.

I could feel my cheeks warm slightly, and I tried to push the feeling aside. "You're ridiculous," I said, but my voice was softer than usual.

"Yeah, but I'm your ridiculous," he replied, his green eyes sparkling mischievously.

As I continued to pet both cats, I realized that maybe, just maybe, this little adventure was leading to something unexpected.

Beast Boy's POV

In that moment, as Raven's fingers brushed through my fur, I felt something

There was a warmth, a kind of connection that I never expected. "I like this," I said, my voice playful yet sincere.

"Me too," Raven replied, her gaze softer as she met my eyes.

Yeah this was nice.
