Note: this is the dress mentioned in the chapter. Retail price was like over $4,000. Definitely something you would wear in a raid. Right?

Also, a lot of death happens in this chapter. The action is quick and to the point. Still, five men died in total.

Later that evening, in a sketchy abandon motel located on the outskirts of the city...

The blood had been stopped but the arm was going to be deadweight for the rest of the man's life if he survived the night. With what medical skill there was between the party, and it was bare minimum, not more than boy scout level, they did their best. Hospitals were not an option.

In and out, find any documents related to the Drake Foundation, Renfield's involvement over the last century and anything with the word 'Dracula' attached. That was supposed to be the job. Just a lonely, old man in his townhouse and a condo to be vacant of the owner. They did not even bring a gun for protection.

The condo raid was a breeze, yet nothing could be found. Not even personal paperwork on the owner, like social security card or birth certificate. Nothing that their employer wanted. If it wasn't for that darn cat making such a racket, they would have had more time before the neighbors were alerted to what was happening.

At the townhouse, that old man had no issue firing off the shot with nearly lethal accuracy. Just a few inched to the left, the man would have been left there to be identified. Before the shot, nothing of importance was found and now, they could not go back to finish the job without finding themselves in handcuffs.

The five men team sat in the dingy motel room, waiting for orders while the one was clinging on to life. There was no running water beside the water hose that had been ran through the window. The light was from battery operated lanterns. The motel sat on a lot with other neglected, rundown buildings. Perfect hide out Bad place to die.

Another message sent to the employer that went unanswered. This made the fourth one since returning. The men were getting restless. They took this gig with the promise of money and clean stales to start over. The British guy talked a good game. Probably too good now that they realized that they were being hung out to dry.

A gurgling noise came from the throat of the man on the bed. He was getting paler. His breath shallowing. The rest of the men looked at the others. They were going to have to deal with the body soon.

Heavy knocking interrupted the men that were trying to decide what to do. One of the men walked quietly, waiting to the person on the other side of the door to identify themselves. Silence. Carefully, the man started to peer out the peephole to see who was there.

The door busted open, coming off its hinges. The man standing there fall with the heavy, metal door on top of him. The other men were stunned as the person on the other side walked in, crushing the man on the floor.

"Hello darlings." It was a young woman, no more than twenty with light copper hair that flowed down her back. Her skin was the shade of fine porcelain with dark red lips. She was dressed like she had just stepped off the runaway with her delicate sandal high heels and her designer ensemble of a silk Loro Piana's Abito Liko Tree of Life Habuta dress. She smiled wide, showing the sharp fangs in her mouth.

The men started to move to grab their guns, yet when they focused back at the gaping doorframe, she was gone. A giggle made them turn to the back on the room where she stood, licking fresh blood from her long stiletto nails. One by one, the men fell to the nasty carpet, gripping their throat to stop from bleeding out.

The man under the door began to crawl from the wreckage, only to be tossed against the concrete wall. The woman held him there by his throat. Her blue eyes turning a shade of amber as she slowly tightened her grip. Even though she was petite compared to him, he could not bulge her hand from his neck. Her strength was superhuman. The man coughed up blood. Several large droplets landed on her hand and wrist.

"Naughty of you trying to get blood on my new dress. It was expensive." She hissed at him with a slight English accent as members of Vlad's security team entered. They were rolling the bodies, pulling items holding information from their pockets. Cellphones were found and loaded into a bag. The man on the bed gave out his last breath. "Now, tell me what I desire to know." She cooed at the man, thralling him into submission.

His body went stack under her gaze as he starting to tell her everything he knew. About the British man named Holmwood who hired them, the names of the other men that were with him. Steward and Bellows. How they wanted to get as much information about Renfield, the Drake Foundation, and anything related to Dracula.

"They think getting to the female lawyer is key. That she is a weak link in the chain." The man uttered. "She was meeting with a realtor today. I overheard the two other guys talking about kidnapping and holding her to lure someone out." Those words made the team members pause. The woman smiled, snapping the man's neck with a single gesture. His body slid to the floor.

"Weak link? They have it all wrong. Jordan is the only thing holding the true monster at bay." The woman mused, picked up her skirt to avoid trailing the hem in blood. She went to Derek. "I will inform Vlad to what we learned." She voiced, pulling out her cellphone to call Vlad.

"Good. We will finish the cleanup. The tail messaged me about how Holmwood and the other two check out their hotel this afternoon. They were heading for the airport when the car was lost in the traffic. We are scouting for them now." Derek advised. The woman nodded.

She left with her phone to her ear. The members bagged the bodies and striped the room of all blood evidence. After that, the team staged a gas leak with a still functioning gas line to the hotel. The wooden interior woods burn quick due to the dry rot and decay. The block walls fell into itself, fully erasing anything that was left. The city would not care. Just one less place for people to squat in.
