Macaque quickly opened his eyes right when a loud noise was heard nearby. In cold sweat and anxious heartbeats, he got up from the bench and decided to check what it was.

He walked back to the dense forest, but there was nothing...

...until he saw Wukong training with the kid.

Macaque felt the heaviness of his thoughts and relaxed his muscles, taking a deep breath of the fresh morning.

Although, it didn't help him feel better. He didn't want to see Wukong. Nor the kid. He either wanted to be alone, or be with someone that understood his boundaries. There was one person... but more like monkey, in particular. His successor, Mitsuki. (My OC btw hehe)

Yet, he reminded himself that Mitsuki was on a mission, and wouldn't come back until next week. So...

What could he possibly do?

Train?

...he already trains everyday.

Read a book?

...not much of his liking.

There was nothing he wanted to do. In fact, Macaque didn't even know what he likes to do.

He could explore the city-... NO! No way! The city is for mere weak people that want to feel protected by something big! Not to mention how much his ears would start ringing after he slightly got closed to a popular area!

...but maybe a look wouldn't hurt... right?

Macaque placed his left hand on his chin and his right hand on his hip, as he looked at his feet trying to figure out if he should or shouldn't go to Megapolis.

Ah, screw it! He wasn't a scared cat! He was a proud warrior that even experienced death before, a little noise couldn't be troublesome!

Meanwhile, Wukong grabbed a package of peach chips and opened it carefully, as he sat on his cloud right next to MK. The only thing he had in mind was no other but Macaque. He seemed distracted, even MK noticed that. He tried to call out his mentor back to earth, but he didn't seem to listen.

Wukong's mind was spinning at the thought of the raven furred simian, his tan skin and blueberry colored fur. His beautiful heterochromatic eyes, the left one yellow and the other one lilac. A huge scar placed on top of the yellow one, making it even more unique.

His heartbeat was rising even more at each second that went by, until MK finally reached his limit and screamed in his ear.

"MONKEY KING!!!!"

The ginger (ew) monkey jumped and fell down his cloud, his face hitting the ground.

"Ugh- Kid! What was that for?!"

"Well, you weren't listening to what I was saying!"

Wukong got up and brushed off the dirt and dust off his clothing, as he adjusted his feather headpiece slightly. He sat back on his cloud and tried harshly to brush Macaque off his mind...

Tho he was still there, waiting to come back once Wukong was finally all alone.

Wukong still remembered how fragile Macaque was when they met. He was soft and timid, now he's rude and brute. It made him want to cry even more now. Yet, he didn't wanna hurry the kid, so he simply just forgot about it.

But Wukong always told Macaque about one thing...

His heart was delicate like glass.

And Macaque still remembers it.
