Marjorie and Charlotte had started the nursery together, and they will end together. The two could always count on each other, no matter what happened. Sure, they had their arguments, but didn't every friendship? They knew, no matter what argument they had, in the end, the two would find their way back to each other.

When Marjorie first found out about Charlotte being in a relationship with Amelia, she was shocked, angry even. In a way, she had a right to be. After all, Amelia had tried to break up her own relationship with Reece. But with time, she had come to accept and support the relationship between the two women.

A couple of years had passed since Mia and Charlotte had started their relationship. The two were happy, some would say they were still in their honeymoon phase. They loved each other, they finally had their happy endings... or so they thought.

Amelia had returned from one of her business trips to Spain and had arrived at the nursery to collect Charlotte. As the woman walked out of the nursery, she saw her redheaded girlfriend standing by her car. A grin immediately formed over her face as she walked over to her, "Hey Sweetheart" Amelia spoke, her raspy voice filling Charlotte with safety. "Amelia" She smiled.
"Are you ready?" She asked, seeing Charlotte dig around in her bag. "Sweetheart, what have you lost?"
Charlotte paused, "I think I left my keys for the nursery inside, I'll be back in a minute," She told her girlfriend, scurrying back inside.

"Amelia Mae Roberts... well this is a surprise, love"  Bailey spoke. The woman who, during one of her first few trips away, before even meeting Charlotte, became besotted with Mia. The blonde-headed woman smirked, looking up at the redhead. "Bailey, what are you doing here?" Mia asked.

"I saw on Facebook you were back off your trip, I knew I'd find you here, with your 'fling'." Amelia's eyes widened. She couldn't stand the thought of Charlotte being referred to as a 'fling' because she wasn't... she was her forever person. "Anyway, I came back to get you as my girlfriend finally" Bailey smirked, "You can do a lot better than that mess. I mean look at her... she works in a tattered nursery, she's probably only with you for your money." Amelia's eyes widened even further, darkness filling her once hopeful eyes.

Charlotte walked out of the nursery, seeing Amelia talking to the woman, seeing them both with their hands on each other's shoulders. "Whatever you're planning Bailey, stop. It is over between us. It was over before it even started." Except, Charlotte didn't hear the full sentence... she only heard, "It was over before it even started." She'd let her heart speak for her again. She'd fallen in love too fast. She turned around in the other direction, leaving the car park and making her way over to the bar across the street. Tears swelled up in her eyes, desperately trying to hold it together. "Did Amelia really feel that way?" She thought. The words of Mia repeated in her mind 'It was over before it even started.'

As she sat down at the table, hiding behind the wall, she ordered herself a gin and tonic. Sara noticed her once happy, bubbly customer sitting, drowning herself in her tears. Though she knew she probably wasn't the right person to speak to Charlotte, she knew she needed someone. Grabbing her phone, she made a phone call, "Marjorie, it's Sara, from the bar. Listen, you need to get over here quickly... it's Charlotte." From a distance, she kept an eye on the woman, ready to step in as and when needed.

Back at the nursery, Marjorie ran out of the building. "Marjorie? Where's Char?" Amelia asked, "She said she was going to get her keys but that was twenty minutes ago." Marjorie rolled her eyes at her. Though she didn't know what had happened, for Char to walk away from Mia, she knew it had to be bad. "Go home, Mia" Marjorie snapped, running out of the car park and down the street towards her best friend, who needed her now more than ever.
