Bella's POV

It had only been a few weeks since I returned to Forks, but already, the memories of Vancouver felt like part of a different world. George and I kept our promise, writing to each other every day, each letter filled with plans, dreams, and little details of our lives. It was as if the distance wasn't there at all, like I could reach across and touch him whenever I needed to.

One afternoon, I opened a letter from George, thicker than usual, with a small envelope attached. His handwriting seemed to dance across the page, full of energy, almost as if he'd been rushing to write.

Dear Bella,

I've been thinking a lot about our time in Vancouver, and I realized there's something I haven't shared with you yet. It's a big part of my life, and I want you to know, to understand all of me. So, here goes: I'm a wizard.

I know it sounds strange, but bear with me. Magic is real, Bella, and it's been a part of my life since I was born. My family, my friends—all of us live in a world most people don't even know exists. I've kept it from you because I didn't want you to think I was crazy, but the more I think about it, the more I realize that you deserve to know the truth.

I've enclosed a small charm in the envelope. It's enchanted to let you see our world for what it is. When you hold it, you'll be able to glimpse magic—not the full picture yet, but enough to understand. If you're ready, I'd love to show you everything when I come to visit.

With all my love,
George

My heart raced as I pulled the small charm from the envelope—a tiny silver pendant shaped like a star, warm to the touch. Could this really be true? It seemed impossible, yet with George, anything felt possible. I held the charm tightly, feeling a strange warmth spread through my fingers, and in that moment, I knew that this was real. He wouldn't lie to me. Not about something like this.

I felt a rush of excitement, a need to see this world he spoke of, to share in the part of him he had kept hidden. I wrote back quickly, telling him I was ready, that I wanted to know everything. A few days later, I received his reply, letting me know he'd be coming to Forks, not just to see me but to meet Charlie as well.

The idea of George meeting Charlie made my stomach twist with nerves, but I knew it was time. George was part of my life now, and if we were going to be together, he needed to meet the most important person in my world.
