As they stepped out of the auditorium, the buzz of conversation surrounded them, but Bakugo and Izuku remained locked in on each other, their connection as strong as ever. The upcoming exam thrummed in the air with excitement, and both boys could feel it—this was what they had been waiting for.

"Alright, we've been planning for this for years. We know exactly what we're doing. We'll wipe the floor with those robots," Bakugo said, his eyes gleaming with confidence.

"Yeah," Izuku responded, a smirk playing at his lips. "Just stick to the plan, Kacchan. We'll show them what real heroes look like."

Their banter was interrupted as Ochako trotted up to them, her cheerful smile lighting up her face. "Hey! You guys ready for this?" she asked, her voice bubbly with excitement.

Bakugo crossed his arms with a confident grin. "Damn right! This is gonna be a walk in the park."

Izuku stayed quiet, his expression colder than usual, but his arm slipped possessively around Bakugo's waist. "More than ready. We've been training for this. We're going to crush them," he added, a dark edge in his voice that sent a small chill down Ochako's spine.

Before she could respond, the tall boy with dark blue hair and glasses from earlier approached them, his eyes locking onto Bakugo. "You!" Iida barked, addressing Bakugo with irritation. "The one with the spiky hair! You need to keep your outbursts in check. Some of us are taking this exam seriously."

Bakugo narrowed his eyes, his fists twitching as if ready to throw down. "What the hell did you just say to me, you four-eyed jerk?" he snapped, stepping forward aggressively.

Before Bakugo could escalate further, Izuku's grip on him tightened. "Kacchan, let me handle this." He stepped forward, eyes cold as he glared at Iida. "Listen here, you asshole," Izuku growled, his voice low and menacing. "You don't get to talk to him like that. You think because you've got some fancy glasses and an uptight attitude, you're better than him?"

Iida looked taken aback, his usual composed demeanor faltering at Izuku's sudden intensity. "I wasn't—"

"Shut up," Izuku cut him off, his gaze darkening. "Kacchan is going to be the best fucking hero you've ever seen, and like I said, if you can't handle a little excitement, then you're the one who doesn't belong here."

Iida's mouth opened to retort, but he froze, sensing the palpable danger in Izuku's voice. The entire hallway had grown eerily quiet, the tension thick as everyone within earshot watched the exchange.

Bakugo, though tense, placed a hand on Izuku's shoulder, trying to calm him down. "Izuku, it's not worth it," he muttered, though there was an undeniable pride in his voice. "Let him run his mouth."

But Izuku wasn't backing down. "No, Kacchan. He doesn't get to talk about you like that." His grip on Bakugo tightened, as if to emphasize that he wouldn't let anyone look down on him.

Ochako, sensing the hostility, nervously tried to lighten the mood. "Uh, hey guys... let's not get into a fight before the exam, right?" she said with a nervous laugh.

Iida straightened his glasses, clearly flustered by the confrontation, and turned his attention to Ochako instead. "Well, perhaps I should partner with someone more focused," he said stiffly, addressing her. "Would you like to team up for the exam?"

Ochako blinked, her eyes darting between Bakugo, Izuku, and Iida before nodding. "Oh, um, sure! Yeah, let's do our best!"

Izuku's eyes didn't leave Iida until the tall boy turned away with Ochako. Once they were gone, Izuku leaned into Bakugo, the tension still coiled within him. "People like him piss me off," he muttered darkly. "Acting like they know anything about us."
