Somewhere in Atlanta, Georgia
The Alpha all dressed in his tattered and slinky Werewolf costume was in what looked like
an abandoned house.
He was watching the ten o'clock news on the television read about the drunkard 21 year old son of a prominent Atlanta construction magnate who crashed the father's new Lamborghini in to an oncoming bicycle with a couple who were driving back from the orchestra.
The couple both perished due to the accident as it was a high-speed incident and the boy miraculously escaped with minor bruises from the wrecked-up car. What was interesting about it is that this boy had done similar misdemeanors back when he was 12, 15 and 16 years old.
The Alpha had been following this heartless boy since the first time he committed juvenile theft and manslaughter, breaking into and stealing a Ferrari, since 2004, just for kicks. Even then he had rammed into a homeless person in a side street causing unimaginable bodily wounds resulting in the bum being in a coma and hospitalized for a whole ten months with
multiple surgeries done to him, eventually, succumbing to the wounds.
The Alpha followed the media reports and he was always updated. Slowly but surely the authorities managed to get a hold of the delinquent's past and current record. The boy's father though managed to expunge some of the past records with payoffs and bribes. The current accidental killings sure proved that this young man would continue to cause fatal accidents with untold number of victims in the future and that this was going to carry on.
The next day
05.13am
This was planned to be The Alpha's first, in a new set of kills, though it needed to be meticulously planned, this was merely the prelude to a darker, more chilling narrative that would soon unfold within the darkness of the night to come.
This young target, a man now, 21 years old,
whose disregard for the sanctity of the traffic code had caught The Alpha's vigilant eye. This man, known in the local community for his careless driving, became the symbol of human disrespect and apathy towards human life that the Alpha, so despised. His hit-and-run statistics were legendary, so he was never far from the prying eyes of the law.
To the Alpha, he appeared as a remorseless
unsympathetic human who valued speed over human life. The plan to punish and eliminate this heartless man, was set for dusk. The reds and oranges of a setting sun, casting long shadows as they merged with the darkness of the approaching night, beckoned The Alpha's beast.
The Alpha, moving silently through the underbrush, was a shadow among shadows, their presence as unnoticed as the slight breeze rustling the leaves. With a cruel demeanor, the young man drove his car on his usual path through the park, making his way to his usual car park spot. This would be where he would start his normal early morning jogging trail which was marked by the debris of trampled grass and leaves from his previous runs.
As the man parked and got out of his car, he paused to dispose of some trash, he remained
oblivious to the eyes that watched him with a predatory intensity. The Alpha, guided by the
whispers of the forest, stepped closer, each movement calculated and silent. The leaves seemed to murmur in approval, the trees bending slightly as if to shield The Alpha from any prying eyes.
20.09pm
Waking up groggily, the man's eyes slowly opened with a shudder of his shoulders as if to indicate a feeling of dampness and cold around him. Blinking slowly, he is able to slowly move
his hand as he stretches and tries to grope around feeling the dirty floor which seemed like
concrete.
Instinctively, all he could remember now was the terrifying moments before he felt that sharp pain when the syringe punctured his neck by the hooded assailant. His eyes gradually moved around, checking the surroundings of what looked like a basement cavern with very little light.
With hands shaking still, he stretched his right hand to help him adjust and prop up his body.
He was in a cage, and this did not seem like an ordinary cage, the poles, rivets and door
lock were scratched with thousands of scratches, some scratches revealing how old this cage
seemed. it resembled a cage you would see at a zoo. He was trying to recollect the last moments
before his assailant pounced on him to make him unconscious.
At this moment, his heart was pounding what seemed like a million times a minute, he
looked down and felt an excruciating pain emanating from the right side of his upper abdomen.
Peering down his sweat-soiled wife beater he moved his right hand again to feel and probe what felt like a shabbily dressed wound dressing, immediately wincing as his fingers touched the crevices of the cut of his wound.
