AVYANSH'S POV
As I turned to leave, I saw Ishu standing at the main door, struggling with her luggage.
"There she is, Mom," I said, pointing towards Ishu.
"Ishita..." Mom called out, and Ishu came running towards us.
"Mumma!" she exclaimed, hugging her tightly.
"Didn't you say your flight was supposed to land at 8 p.m.?" Mom asked.
"Yeah, Mom, I did. But I lied because I wanted to surprise you all! And see? The surprise was worth it, right?" she said playfully.
"Hey little munchkin! Won't you meet your brother?" I asked teasingly
"Nope" she exclaimed and i frowned.
"Why"
"Because you haven't given me my favorite chocolates from that box" She said pointing to the box which i held in my hands.
I sighed, shaking the box slightly. "So, you'll only see your big brother if I bribe you with chocolates?"
She grinned, crossing her arms. "Exactly!"
I chuckled, shaking my head. "Alright, fine. You win, little munchkin." I opened the box and handed her one chocolate.
Her eyes lit up, but as she reached for more, I quickly closed the box. "Ah ah, only one."
She pouted. "But that's not fair!"
I smirked. "You only get more after you give your dear brother a proper hug."
Ishita groaned dramatically, but I could see the smile tugging at her lips. "Fine, but I want two more after the hug."
I laughed. "Deal."
She leaned in for a quick hug, and I ruffled her hair, knowing she'd scold me for it as usual.
Ishita pulled back from the hug and immediately reached for the box again. "Now, hand over the chocolates. A deal's a deal!"
I held the box just out of her reach, raising an eyebrow. "You said two, right? So what if I give you one now and one later?"
She glared at me, narrowing her eyes. "That wasn't part of the agreement!"
I laughed, enjoying teasing her. "Oh, but I'm your big brother. I can change the terms if I want."
She crossed her arms, her lips forming a pout. "You're impossible, Avy Bhai!"
I handed her the second chocolate with a grin. "Maybe. But I'm your favorite brother, right?"
Ishita popped the chocolate into her mouth, pretending to think. "Hmm, Vihaan Bhai is pretty nice too. He doesn't make me bargain for my chocolates."
I gasped, pretending to be offended. "Traitor!"
She giggled, her laughter filling the room. "Fine, you're my favorite for today. But only if you let me have one more."
I couldn't help but smile at her persistence. "Alright, munchkin. One more. But only because I'm feeling generous."
AVIRA'S POV
I was enjoying having my dinner, when Bhai broke the silence "There is a business party tomorrow and Avira, I think it would be a great start if you would also join me.
As he said those words, a surge of excitement and nervousness washed over me because before this I have never attended a business party before.
"Avira.. you'll join me.. won't you? Bhai asked, looking hopefully.
"Bhai, actually I am really nervous about the party. What if I end up messing?" I replied, my voice laced with anxiety.
"There's nothing to be nervous about, Avi. It's just your first time at a business party, and that's why you're feeling this way. But don't worry, I'll be there with you."
"Okay bhai, I will join you tomorrow for the party." I agreed and after having my dinner I left for my room.
I agreed to go to the party, but a mix of nervousness and excitement still lingers in my mind. My heart races just thinking about it. What if things don't go as planned? Or maybe... they will. I guess I'll find out soon enough. For now, I should push these thoughts aside and try to get some sleep. Tomorrow is a big day, after all.
"Let's hope for the best." I whisper to myself before turning off the light.
