Chapter4

I shake my head, knocking me out of my thoughts. "Uh here" I say handing the girl some books and papers, "And sorry again." "Yeah no worries" the girl says taking her books and papers, "And I should also be apologizing, I wasn't looking where I was going either." "Don't worry about it" I say as we stand up. I notice her shoes and see that they are the pair that Kali has been wanting. "Nice shoes, I didn't realize they were already out" I say. "Really, thanks" the girl says, "Not for another month, my last order was butchered and then I was sent the wrong pair so I got sent the new release early as a sorry." "Oh nice and good to know" I say. The girl smiles looking at me with a look I can't quite figure out and realize what I'm talking to her about.

I've been spending too much time with my sisters and now I've made a fool of myself and probably look like a weirdo in front of this girl. What a fantastic start, my roommates already think I'm weird and now this girl that could have possibly been my first friend thinks I'm weird, this is just great. "Oh uh sorry again" I say, "I gotta go...shav-work out...I-bye." I speed walk away from the awkward and terrible situation. "You idiot" I mutter to myself as I walk back to my room, "Now no ones gonna wanna be your friend." I grab some food from the cafeteria before heading back to my room. When I reach my room I unlock the door and open the door only for it to slam in my face.

"Yo, let me in" I say pounding my fist against the door. "Come back later" Liam responds, "I'm busy." What the hell, seriously? "Dude, this is my room too" I say. "And I said get lost" Liam says. "Where am I supposed to sleep" I ask. "Don't know, don't care. Not my problem" Liam says, "I'm in the middle of something." Asshole. I make my way over to the common room and lay down on the couch. I end up falling asleep on the couch after I eat and get woken up by a group of guys exiting the building. Sitting up, I rub my eyes and then head back to my room that I'm able to get into this time. I see Liam passed out in his bed, Rodrigo passed out in mine, then Tucker, Geoff, and Zaydon passed out on the floor.

Empty bottles, cups, bags, and wrappers are littered all over the floor and game over flashes on the tv. Really, this is why I couldn't be in the room and had to sleep in the common room. I finish unpacking and organizing my things while they continue to sleep. Once I finish that, I begin to clean the room up. As I'm tying the trash bag up, I hear a groan. I look over and see Liam waking up. "Morning" I say and decide to be the bigger person, "You guys wanna grab lunch?" "What time is it" Liam mumbles. "It's almost noon" I reply. "Another day" Liam says, "We gotta take a shower." "Yeah...sure" I say, "Sounds good." I grab the trash bag and throw it away on my way to the cafeteria.

I get my food and claim a table in the corner. Not even ten minutes later I see Liam, Tucker, Rodrigo, Zaydon, and Geoff walk in, get food, and claim a table. I sigh as I watch them talk and laugh while they eat, not even looking like any of them showered. This sucks. I throw away my trash not feeling very hungry anymore and head back to the room. I grab the map and class schedule and start familiarizing myself with the layout and where my classes are. After that I study up on all my materials so that I'm not completely lost on Monday and start preparing myself for the basketball tryouts. And that's how I spend the rest of my weekend. Studying and avoiding Liam and his friends.

My alarm wakes me up on Monday and a pillow is thrown at me by Liam for waking him up. I go on my morning run before hitting the showers that are luckily empty. I then grab breakfast and head to my first class of the day. The day drags because I can't wait for tryouts. Liam and his friends are in all my classes but first and last. And the girl I ran into when I first arrived is in my fourth and fifth class of the day and I kept catching her looking over at me. But now it's finally time for tryouts. I quickly change into my practice clothes and head down to the gym where a group of guys are already gathered. I see Liam, Zaydon, Geoff, Rodrigo, Tucker, and two other guys already wearing a school jersey. I hear a whistle and look over to see a girl walking over, she must be the coach.

"My names Coach Young and I am the basketball coach" Coach Young says, "We lost some great players that contributed to our perfect season last year. I intend to have a repeat this year and need some talented players to replace the ones we lost in order to do that. If you are not willing to put in the work, sweat, and hours then get out now and stop wasting anymore of my time. If you stay, I will only accept a hundred and ten percent of your effort. Now let's get to it and see what you're made of and separate the men from the girls." Coach Young blows her whistle and tryouts begin. We do a bunch of running, the basics, dribbling drills, shooting drills, one v one, and a small work off so that she could evaluate our endurance, skill level, and teamwork ability.

Coach Young blows her whistle signaling that the tryouts are over. "Well done gentlemen" Coach Young says, "If I call your name, come get or keep the jersey. Turner, Maron, Ward, Morley, Salazar, Jones, and Fisher congrats your still first string. Joining you guys are White, Mars, and Kreed, your new point guard." Coach Young hands me my jersey and I just stare at it in shock before I catch Liam's death glare. This won't end well. "-In the game" Coach Young says, "Everyone go shower." We all head to the showers and Liam bumps my shoulder as he walks by me. I don't want to shower with them in case they notice, but if I don't it will look weird. "Kreed" Coach Young calls out, "Principal's office, you will have to shower later." I let out a sigh of relief and run to the principal's office.

Sorry for the late update. Work an dlife have been kicking my ass, thats no excuse but its the truth.  I'm going to try my best to update on a more regular basis.
