Kione's POV
Have you ever felt like something is wrong? Like something happened that shouldn't have?Well, that's exactly what I am feeling right now, although I couldn't go out and check everything out, especially my baby sis, light.
Light is very important and dear to me, I will do anything and everything for her, if it's the last thing I do. She is my one and only family left, pack not included. I'm gonna protect her with my own life like how I promised my parents before they died.
I should have been outside by now running and checking the perimeter and border lines of my pack, but couldn't, because of this alpha in front of me blabbering almost about anything and everything.
Me and my Beta had been called by him to his pack to gain our alliance, because and I quote 'We had been getting attack by some rogues lingering in the forest', instead he had been wasting our time since we got here, and hadn't even spoken about anything related to his packs safety.
If he didn't shut his big-fat-mouth up this instant, I'm gonna kill him!! If you haven't already caught what I mean by that, I'M STARTING TO LOSE MY PATIENCE! But of course, I wouldn't say it out loud because that's a sign of disrespect and might cause a war on my hands.
This meeting has been going around for, I dont know, 5-freaking-hours!! It should have ended 2 hours ago! My butt is freaking numb already and my muscles are stiff.
If this meeting doesn't end soon, I'm gonna lash out and go on a rampage. Seriously.
'Kurt, will you please make this alpha shut his mouth and make us go on our way.' I mind linked my second-in-command or beta. He chuckled before anwering a 'Yes, alpha'
"Alpha Barrn, my beta and I have more important things to do than stay in here and listen to you blabber about your breakfast" Kurt said with a staright face that made me want to burst out laughing, but can't, instead, I covered my mouth and coughed. Alpha barnn's face turned into a shade of a beet root.
Okay, you might be confused as to why kurt called me his beta, when I should be his alpha, it's just a cover up. When the leader of the rogues killed my parents, the alpha title immediately transferred to me, because I'm the next in line, whether I like it or not , it's mine.
In our pack, I'm the alpha, but if there are other pack present, kurt will pretend to be the alpha and me the beta, but I still give him the command.
"Of course, Alpha Samson, Beta Silver. Thank you for your time" Alpha Barrn said, we gave him a nod of acknowledgement then began our way to the car.

"wow, alpha barrn sure is a blabber fish" I said, making kurt nod.
"Agree, if it wasn't for you kione, I don't think alpha barrn will stop talking, like seriously, how could a man talk that long!" He exlaimed. We both laughed, when suddenly, I remembered something, That made my face turn serious in a second.
"Do you remember what alpha barrn wants us to help him with?" I asked him with a confused expression. I looked at kurt to see him with a thoughtful look.
"I think he wants us to send some warriors in his pack to help them with some rogues." He answered, I hummed, nodding. Returning my gaze to the window, watching the tress pass in a blur.
"Send atleast 3 warriors in his pack, mateless" I ordered him. I don't want warriors with mates going to a far away land just to help them with a rogue problem, that will just be awful, for both the male and female.
Also, the male or female warrior, will be easily distracted thinking about his/her mate that she/he will not be able to concentrate or focus on her/his task at hand. That will seriously be a problem. He/she could easily get hurt or worse, die.
I shivered thinking about that word. The woman/man will lost his/her mind or become depressed and kill himself/herself too.
I'm just happy that I don't have a mate. maybe it's because the moon goddess wants me to concentrate on my pack and not to get distracted, especially with the rogue attacks increasing.
"Alpha, we're here" kurt said. I haven't noticed that he already parked the car outside the pack house.
I got outside the car and closed the door, followed by kurt, soon after.
When I entered the pack house I immediately began calling for light, she should have been here already, it's nearly lunch time.
"Light?!! I'm home!" I called again, looking everywhere. I noticed one of the warriors guarding light and the other pups, heading my way, Andrew, he look tense and with a little fear in his eyes.
"Alpha" he bowed, then lifted his eyes the fear clearly evident now.
"Andrew, how are you and your family?" I asked. The mention of his family made his eyes brighten and the fear dimmed a little bit.
"I'm alright, alpha. As for my family, they're happy, my wife and I are expecting our third child this week" he smiled with a glazed eyes as if he's rembering something.
"That's great! Inform me immediately when she gave birth, so I can bless your pup and accept him or her into the pack" I smiled, he nodded then I remember what I'm doing before he approached me. "By the way, have you seen my sister?"
He suddenly tenses up again and his eyes is full of fear. Something is telling me there really is something bad that happened here awhile ago.
"L-light, a-alpha?" He stuttered his voice shaking, I nodded while narrowing my eyes at him, he look down and mumbled in a quiet tone "we can't find her. We lost her in the clearing an hour back, while she was playing with the other pups"
"WHAT?!!!!!!!"
