Jayden's POV
I mentally groan in my head, please don't tell me her pack found her with me. I internally slap my head. I should have never interfered in the first place.
Now, I'm in this situation where, I'm guessing, her 'body guards', is surrounding us in wolf form. I said guessing, because she's still a pup, with alpha blood, like me.
One of the wolf in the front shifted to human form. He oozes power, strong enough to be of level with an alpha, but is not so dominant in his blood.
I instinctively covered the little girl's eyes, that I hadn't had the time to know the name yet.
"Light, come here! Your sister is super mad right now, we need to go home immediately, before she decided to kill us!" The wolf who shifted shouted at the little girl who, I now know as 'light'.
He seems afraid that the sister of this girl, i mean, light, will kill him. huh. Why would he be scared of a woman? He's a man for goddess sake, a freaking grown up, don't forget the fact that he's almost of an alpha power.
Light removed my hands from her eyes, I forgot that this is probably a normal everyday thing to them. To us.
"Oh, come on kurt! she will never kill nor even hurt any of the pack members, especially you, since you've been her best friend like, when? Since forever" light said seemingly exaggerating with dramatic hand effects.
While this 'kurt' guy just scoffed and crossed his arms in his chest.
"That friendship you say will just get thrown in the window when it comes to you, you know that" he said with pleading eyes. "So, please light come here now and let's go home."
But the little girl just ignored him with a statement "I'm not going home without my handsome night and shining armor" then she turned to look at me with awe and admiration in her eyes while I just stare at them with amusement.
What? You can't probably be not amused by their bickering and the fact that the 7 years old girl most likely, has a crush on you. Kurt seemingly just noticed me now, sniffed the air first before he growled at me.
"Who are you? Why did you kidnapped this pup?" He snarled with a little suspicion in his eyes. I rolled my eyes at this, one second he is begging the girl with a scared expression then the next thing you know, he's snarling at you, or me.
"Kurt! He did not kidnapped me! The ugly, dirty, and filthy rogues did! In fact, he saved me!" She shouted with her cute little voice.
Did she forgot I'm also a rogue? So technically, she just insulted me as well, even though i know what she meant, eh whatever.
You know it's quite baffling to see a little girl argue with an older man with her tiny voice, like they're the bestest buddy without an age gap between them, and the fact that she speaks so adult-ish. Or the guy is just childish.
"Whatever, light! Just stay away from him!" He shouted again, but light remained still.
What a stubborn child, she should listen to older people, they know what's good for her.
Seeing that light isn't going anywhere, kurt pulled light away from my arms and carried her to one of the wolves to put her in the back.
"Again, who are you? What is your name? How did you become a rogue? what are you doing so close to our pack's territory?" He asked with a serious and hard face, covering his not so while ago, fear and relieved emotion.
I remained impassive, all the amusement in my eyes awhile ago gone.
"You may as well ask if I'm single or not with all the questions you are throwing at me, though, It's none of your concern" I replied calmly and started walking away.
"Kurt! Where is he going? Is he leaving? Please don't make him leave! Pleaseee!" I heard light plead Kurt.
"No light! He will not come with us. What if he's bad and try to attack our pack? We will not have any of that, there will be plenty of life that will be lost just because of a one stupid decision, bringing a rogue inside a pack with open arms" kurt said sternly.
Like I'm going to do that. I have enough baggage to feel guilty about.
"Fine! Be that way, then I'm not going home with you. If my sister found out I'm not with you, or any of the pack members and I'm with a rogue with no protection or body guard, YOU'RE DEAD!" wow, this kid is smart. Not only did she blackmailed him, she even threw his words back at him.
"Fine" I heard kurt sigh in defeat and exasperation. "Wait!" He called after a few seconds.
I stopped but didn't turn around. "Would you like to accompany us back to our pack?"
Do I want to? After all, it's been years since I stepped into a territory, specifically my territory. But, do I really want to be in one of the pack's territory? Is it worth the risk?
If I do agree, it's not like i'm joining their pack, so no big deal, right?
