***Ranma looks at Soun, frustration clear in his eyes.
"I've tried. She's not listening to me. She's incredibly stubborn." Ranma glances at Shampoo, who's still stubbornly holding onto his arm, refusing to let go."
Shampoo glares at Soun, not appreciating the intervention. She tightens her grip on Ranma's arm, refusing to let go even as Soun chastises them both.
Soun's gaze hardens as he sees Shampoo's reaction. He steps closer to them, his voice firm.
"Shampoo, this behavior is unacceptable! You need to let go of Ranma. He's engaged to my daughter, Akane, not you!" Soun let it be known.
Shampoo's eyes narrow at Soun's words. She grips Ranma's arm even tighter, refusing to back down.
"No, he's mine! Engaged to that tomboy or not, he belong to me!" Shampoo shoots a raspberry.
Ranma squirms under Shampoo's grip, trying to pull his arm free, but she refuses to release her grip.
"Shampoo, let go! You can't just claim ownership over me like I'm some sort of possession. I have my own life and my own choices to make." Ranma said.
Soun steps even closer, his expression stern.
"Shampoo, enough. You've been causing trouble with Ranma and my family ever since you've known each other. It's time to stop this possessive behavior." Soun said.
Soun looks at Ranma.
"Ranma, you need to assert yourself here. Put your foot down and make it clear to Shampoo that you're not hers to claim." Soun spoke.
Ranma finally reaches his breaking point. With a firm voice and a stern expression, he yells at Shampoo.
"Shampoo, stop this! You can't just treat me like I'm some sort of property. I am not yours to claim, and I am engaged to Akane. You need to understand and respect that!" Ranma hopes she gets the message.
Ranma's words hit Shampoo like a punch to the gut, and tears well up in her eyes. Shampoo lets go of his arm, visibly hurt, and runs off.
Shampoo feels the sting of Ranma's words, her heart aching at his rejection. She runs off, tears streaming down her face.
Ranma sighs as he watches Shampoo runoff. A mixture of guilt and frustration swirls inside him, but he knows it is necessary.
Ranma turns to Genma and Soun, who have just witnessed the scene.
Soun nods in approval, appreciating Ranma's firm stance against Shampoo's possessive behavior.
"Good job standing your ground, Ranma. That's what you need to do whenever she gets out of line." Soun said.
Ranma gazes towards Shampoo's direction, his expression slightly concerned.
Genma claps Ranma on the back, his expression somewhat impressed. He speaks in his usual gruff voice.
"Looks like you finally grew a backbone, Son. It's about time you put that purple-haired nuisance in her place." Genma says.
Ranma rolls his eyes at Genma's usual tone, but he can't deny a sense of satisfaction in standing up to Shampoo.
"Yeah, well, it had to be done. I've been putting up with her possessive behavior long enough, and it's getting in the way of everything." Ranma said.
Ranma's mind drifts back to Akane, and he wonders if he should go and check on her.
Ranma's heart is heavy with the knowledge that she's upset and hurt by his earlier words and the situation with Shampoo.
Ranma glances towards Akane's room, torn between wanting to talk to her and giving her space.
Soun gives Ranma a knowing look, noticing his conflicted expression.
"You're wondering if you should go talk to Akane, aren't you?" Soun said.
Ranma hesitates for a moment before nodding.
"Yeah, I want to talk to her and make sure she's okay. But I also don't want to make things worse. I said some things earlier that probably hurt her, and I need to apologize." Ranma replied.
Genma snorts, his tone slightly teasing.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Don't be a coward. Go talk to her and sort things out." Genma said.
Soun chimes in.
"I agree with Genma on this one. Akane needs some words of reassurance from you, Ranma. Go talk to her and try to mend the situation." Soun said.
Ranma nods, sighing in resignation.
"Alright, alright. I'll talk to her. I hope she'll listen to me and understand." Ranma starts making his way towards Akane's room, his heart beating faster in anticipation.
Soun and Genma watch Ranma head towards Akane's room, the former with a mix of concern and hope, the latter with his usual gruffness.
"Good luck, Ranma. Just remember to be sincere and patient with her." Soun says.
Genma gives a rare nod of agreement.
"Yeah, don't mess it up, boy. You've caused enough trouble for one day. Go fix things with Akane." Genma says.
Ranma nods, appreciating the well-wishes from Genma and Soun.
"Thanks, Pops and Mr, Tendo. I'll do my best." Ranma said.
Ranma continues his walk towards Akane's room, mentally rehearsing what he wants to say to her. His heart is filled with a mix of anxiety and determination.
Ranma finally reaches Akane's door and hesitates for a moment, taking a deep breath. He musters up his courage and gently knocks on the door.
"Akane... can I talk to you?" Ranma asks.
Akane, who was lying on her bed, curled up in a ball with her pillow, looked up at the sound of the knock on the door. She recognizes Ranma's voice and hesitates for a moment before responding.
"... Y-yeah, come in," Akane said.
As Ranma reaches for the handle to open the door, Akane's voice rings out from the other side, stopping him in his tracks.
"Wait! Don't come in." Akane says.
Ranma freezes his hand still on the doorknob. He can sense the mixture of hurt and resolve in Akane's voice.
"Alright, if you don't want me to come in, I won't. But can we at least talk through the door? I need to talk to you." Ranma said.
Akane sighs, her voice still carrying a hint of hurt.
"Fine. We can talk through the door. What do you want to say?" Akane spoke softly.
Ranma takes a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. He knows that what he's about to say might not go over well, but he needs to be honest with Akane.
