***Akane sighs, her voice still carrying a hint of hurt.
"Fine. We can talk through the door. What do you want to say?" Akane spoke softly.
Ranma takes a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. He knows that what he's about to say might not go over well, but he needs to be honest with Akane.
"Akane, there's something I need to tell you, and it's going to be tough for you to hear..." Ranma wants to be honest with her.
"Yeah, well what is it, Ranma?" Akane asks.
"I have a date scheduled with Shampoo tomorrow night," Ranma says confidently.
The words hit Akane like a punch to the gut, and her heart sank heavily in her chest. She expected the news to hurt but didn't expect it to hurt so much. Her voice trembles as she struggles to speak.
"You... have a date with Shampoo?" Akane asks out of curiosity.
Ranma nods, his voice laced with a hint of regret and resignation. He doesn't want to hurt Akane, but he feels obligated to honor with Shampoo.
"Yeah, Shampoo and I made a bet earlier. If I lost, I promised to go on a date with her. And I lost. I can't back out now. I have to go through with it." Ranma says.
Akane's heart sinks even more as she hears Ranma's explanation.
The thought that Ranma's going on a date with Shampoo because of a bet, not necessarily because he wants to, makes Akane feel even worse.
Akane could feel the tears in her eyes, but her voice was steady.
"So, you're going on a date with her... because of a bet? Not because you want to?" Akane asks.
Ranma sighs, his heart heavy as he hears the pain in Akane's voice. He feels terrible for causing Akane pain, but he feels bound by his honor to fulfill the bet he made.
"Yeah, that's right. It's not that I wanted to go on a date with Shampoo, it's just the way it turned out. I made a promise to her, and I can't break it now. I'm sorry, Akane." Ranma says.
Akane's hurt quickly turns into anger.
The thought that Ranma is willing to go on a date with Shampoo because of a bet, without thinking of Akane's feelings, only fuels her anger. She responds with a sarcastic and biting tone.
"Oh, wow, how thoughtful of you. You're going on a date with her because of a stupid bet, while completely disregarding my feelings. Great job, Ranma." Akane couldn't believe him.
Ranma winces at Akane's sharp response. He doesn't blame her for being angry, but he also feels frustrated and trapped by the situation.
"I know you're mad, Akane, and you have every right to be. But it's not like I wanted any of this to happen. I don't even like Shampoo, but I made a promise, and now I have to go through with it." Ranma said.
Akane's anger reaches its boiling point, and her voice rises sharply.
"Just go away, Ranma! Go ahead and go on your stupid date with her. I don't care anymore. Just leave me alone!" Akane yelled at Ranma.
Ranma flinches at Akane's angry outburst. Her words sting, but he knows he can't blame her for feeling this way.
"Alright, I'll go. But just know, I never wanted to hurt you. And I don't want this date with Shampoo either." Ranma says.
"Whatever! Do what you want!" Akane says.
Ranma spun around, his heart heavy with guilt.
Akane's anger dissolves into tears as Ranma leaves. She buries her face in her pillow again, letting out a muffled scream of frustration. The thought of Ranma spending time with Shampoo, no matter the reason, only adds to her anguish.
Ranma stands outside Akane's room for a moment, his heart heavy with the weight of their argument. He takes a deep breath, trying to collect himself, before heading back downstairs to the living room where Genma and Soun are waiting.

As Ranma descends the stairs, Genma and Soun, who had been waiting in the living room, turn their attention towards him.
"So, how did it go, boy?" Genma asks, eyeing Ranma expectantly.
Ranma sighs, running a hand through his hair in frustration.
"Not great, as you can probably guess. Akane is upset, and she doesn't want to talk to me right now."
Soun lets out a weary sigh, having expected that sort of outcome. "I see. Well, I can't say that I'm surprised. You know how stubborn Akane can be."
Ranma nods, sitting down heavily on the floor.
"Believe me, I'm aware. It's just..."Ranma pauses, struggling to find the right words.*
"I don't know what to do. I can't just ditch Shampoo, but I don't want to hurt Akane more than I already have." Ranma said.
Genma chimes in, a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
"Seems like you've gotten yourself into a real mess there, boy. Maybe you should've thought twice before making that bet with Shampoo, hmm?" Genma says.
Ranma shoots a glare at Genma, his annoyance rising.
"Thanks for the insightful advice, Pops! As if I'm not already aware of that," Ranma retorts, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Genma grins, clearly enjoying getting under Ranma's skin for once.
"Hey, don't blame me for pointing out the obvious, boy. You should've learned by now that making bets with people like Shampoo always backfires eventually." Genma said.
Soun and Genma exchange amused glances at Ranma's frustration, both enjoying his predicament a bit too visibly.
"Well, Ranma, it seems like you've got yourself into a real pickle," Soun chuckles, enjoying the rare sight of Ranma being on the receiving end of their taunting.
Ranma grits his teeth, trying to keep his cool as Soun and Genma continue to relish in his discomfort.
"Yeah, thanks for the reminder, old man," Ranma mutters through clenched teeth, his annoyance reaching its limit.
