After a grueling interrogation, I was abruptly ejected from the party, accused of stealing the diamond and necklace. Despite my protests, they refused to believe me.
"I told you, check the CCTV footage!" I pleaded.
But they dismissed my suggestion, claiming the footage from the time of the theft had mysteriously vanished, and that I must have tampered with the evidence.
The threat hung in the air "We'll report this to the school authorities. If you don't confess, you'll face the consequences and possibly expulsion."
Devastated and shaken, I slumped outside the gate, my clothes soaked. I waited anxiously for Lucas, my only ally.
Minutes ticked by before he arrived, parking his bike beside me. He dismounted, concern etched on his face, and approached me.
Lucas's eyes widened in shock as he took in my disheveled state. I tried to brush it off, knowing his overprotective nature would kick in. But tears betrayed me, streaming down my face.
"BB, what's wrong?" Lucas's voice was laced with concern, his hands gently wiping away my tears. "Did something happen?"

"Who dared make my sister cry?" Lucas thundered, his anger echoing through the air. "I won't take this lightly."
I grabbed his arm, fearful of escalation. "Lucas, stop. Please."
His eyes flashed with determination. "No one hurts you and gets away with it."
Security hesitated, unsure how to handle Lucas's fury. I knew I had to defuse the situation before things spiraled out of control.
"Lucas, listen to me," I pleaded, my voice trembling. "It's not worth it. Let's just go home."
I grasped Lucas's arm, desperate to calm him down. "Please, let's just go."
But he shook off my grip, his eyes blazing with determination. He stormed toward the party entrance, security guards blocking his path.
"Can you please stop this?" I begged, tears streaming down my face.
Lucas halted, his chest heaving with anger. He turned to me, his gaze softening slightly. He bit his lower lip, then ran a hand through his hair, frustration etched on his face.
In a sudden release of tension, he kicked a nearby plastic bottle, sending it rolling across the pavement. The security guards flinched, wary of his temper.
Lucas's glare lingered on them before he turned to me. Wordlessly, he took my hand, leading me to his bike.
He handed me a helmet, and I put it on, my hands shaking. Lucas climbed onto the bike, and I settled in behind him, wrapping my arms around his waist.
As he sped away from the party, the wind whipped through my hair,
