My eyes flew open at the sudden warmth beside me, and in an instant, I turned away, instinctively seeking distance. No one was there. But someone was here, the bed was still warm beside me.
My injuries ached as I stood. Ignoring the pain, I opened the door of my room, to reach the kitchen, thinking I might find that person from yesterday, who took care of me, in disguise.
After checking every room, backyard, parking, garden, and not where. No one. I couldn't find anyone.
With a confused face, I returned to my room to bathe. When I walked into the bathroom, a wave of steam washed over me, carrying the rich, earthy aroma of fresh wood. This luxurious and wild scent filled the air, creating an alluring and untamed ambiance.
So he was here. Did he take a bath in my bathroom? Guts, huh?
Looking around the bathroom, I found no one. I came near to the basin to brush my teeth. As I brushed, I closed my eyes thinking whatever had happened since yesterday. Once I was done, I opened my eyes and washed my face. I am trepidatious right now. I mean someone is living in my house without my knowing.
Once again I closed my eyes and— someone covered my eyes with hands. My adrenaline rushed, and before I could even respond to the action the person turned me to his side, without opening my eyes!
"Don't open your eyes, Diamond." He said. Warned. I've heard this voice before. When? I don't know! But there is one thing, I am sure about that he is not the person from yesterday I met on my way.
"Understood?" He said. His words made me obey him quickly and I kept my eyes closed. Why? I don't know!
He held me and made me sit on the basin platform. He picked me very delicately, carefully, as if I'd shatter if he let me fall. Once he confirmed I was comfortable, I felt that he placed a small piece of cloth, to cover my eyes.
