Thorna pov:
in the cove:
hiccup is currently giving toothless allot of scratches. and the dragon is definitely not complaining. these two are literally sooo cute. I chuckle as I watch them, then go back to my book. after a while hiccup goes to write something in his note book. toothless comes over to me and lays his head on my legs, wanting attention.
"hehe, hi there buddy." I say putting my book down, and giving him my full attention. I scratch his neck and head, while he makes funny satisfied noises and faces. ' he really is just a big cat huh?' I chuckle. we have done this allot lately, toothless just comes up to me and demands attention. he even comes to me like a sulky baby if he and hiccup had a falling out, sitting with me getting pets ignoring or giving hiccup angry looks. I find it hilarious, hiccup does not he pouts and stomps away, admiting defeat.
after yet another successful training on hiccups end we go to the great hall to eat. as per usual me and hiccup sit down at the table beside the others. not thinking much off it, as we chatter. but then everyone from the other table rushes and sits down with us, even snotlout.
but then I notice the only one sitting alone, Astrid. why is she not joining? I mean I know she has been a bit more cranky lately, but I have been so busy, so haven't had the chance to talk to her.
as the others are singing hiccups praises I sneak of towards Astrid as she is heading out the door. I don't notice the look hiccup gives me as I leave though.
When I catch up to her I tap her on the shoulder and she turns to glare at me. my previous smile dropping. 'guess where going right to the deep end...'
"hey Astrid, do you wanna talk?" I say trying to be mindful of her emotional state.
"you wanna talk!?" she says in a strong loud voice." suure, lets talk. if you tell me how someone like HICCUP, manages to do amazing in training. I see him dragging you away with him everyday. I know you know. so tell me, since you oh so wanted to talk. what's the trick?" she says angrily.
" i didnt come here to talk to you about hiccup. I can't tell you what you want." Astrid rolls her eyes irritated at me." but you know you can talk to me right? I know something is bothering you...could...could it be because hiccup is getting better?" I say with a small voice, knowing the effect my words might impact.
"do you think i'm jealous of hiccup?! that scrawny little nobody, you see as a best friend. HAH, that's ridiculous." I watch as the girl in front of me gets frustrated tears in her eyes as she goes.
I give her a hug and she just slumps against my body. I have been so occupied with hiccup lately, I have neglected the others without even noticing.
at the blacksmith:
i and Astrid needed some us time after that, so we have walked around town for a while, just talking. Astrid and I hear some noice while we are walking, stoping us in our tracks. I just want to brush It of, but Astrid walks in the direction it came from, making me follow.
we look at the blacksmith, witch there is allot of racket inside.
"hiccup?" astrid asks, to see if its the little viking doing some work, or someone suspicious. but I mean he is both.
hiccup suddenly jumps out of the window, closing it fast behind him. but not before I see big forest green eyes looking at me. 'shit.'
hiccups harness line is on, and I guess he got stuck and brought toothless here to take it off. genius right?(sarcastic)
"Astrid, Thorna. hey! hey thorna, Astrid. hi." hiccup says nervously. 'well his acting is still shit I see...'
"I normally don't care what people do, but you're acting weird. well weirder." I bump Astrids shoulder with my elbow, trying to tell her to be nice.
