Tadita
"Tadita, get down from there! Your feathers haven't fully developed!"
"I'm fine, mak!" I carefully start climbing down the, admittedly, very tall tree. My down feathers flutter in the light breeze, the growing muscles and bones twitching. They were still pretty small, seeing as I'm a late bloomer.
It's well known that our types of wings and colors and feather shapes are based off of real birds, even by few other tribes. However, we are still unsure as to what type of bird I am. At first, the down feathers coming in were pale white, as per usual, and as time went on, more white feathers started coming in. However, now that my wing bones are the same length as my arms outstretched, many shades of brown feathers have started to come in. It's unlike any bird we've ever seen. Of course, we won't know for sure until all kinds of feathers start coming in: primaries, secondaries, coverts, and tail feathers.
"Tadita, if you don't get down from there, Saya akan mengalahkan awak hitam dan biru!"
Oops.
"Coming, mak!"
