Nighttime talk

It was currently nighttime, and you were with Freddy in bed while getting ready to call it a night. Except, due to some construction going on in the elevator room at the back of his room, neither of you could get much sleep due to all of the builder bots making a bunch of noise.

"Freddy..." You turn over, shaking his shoulder a bit.

"Hmm..." He hums softly, turning over to meet your gaze.

Upon hearing drilling coming from the other room, you frown tiredly as you look over at the door. While you're happy Freddy's room is getting extended, the staff decided to have a bunch of construction bots on the job so the project could be worked on during the day and night.

"It's too loud..." You bury your face in your pillow.

"I know, Superstar... It is just for one more day though." He pats your back reassuringly.

"Our kids better like it." You lift your head from the pillow and look at him again with a tired expression.

"I know they will. They will have all of the privacy they need when they're older, and access to the important parts of a house like the kitchen, living room, and bathroom." He pulls you in closer to his side.

"I hope they grow up to be as big and strong as you." You smile and lay your head on his chest.

"And I hope they grow to be just as wonderful as you are." He smiles and rubs his nose against yours.

Sighing contently and now drowning out the sound of metal clanking and heavy drilling in favor of his voice, you begin idly rubbing circles into his chest as you both look up at the ceiling.

"We're really taking this leap, huh?" You ask softly, both sad and happy that a new chapter of your life is beginning while the other one is coming to an end.

"I suppose we are. Do you want to wait a bit longer?" He asks softly, knowing that once you both involve two little ones in your life, you won't get as much alone time anymore.

"Yeah. I think I am." You nod slightly, giving him a look of determination.

"We can find an adoption center in the morning then." He gives you the same confident look, seemingly proud as ever to be the father of both yours and his children.

"I can't wait. You're going to be an amazing father, I just know it." You reach up and gently grab his chin.

"So will you, Honey Bear. Together, we can get through anything." He takes your hand from his chin and holds it in his.

"Co-Dads?" You hold out your pinky.

"Co-Dads." He nods and hooks his pinky with yours, giving it a gentle shake.

Snuggling closer to him, you finally feel yourself starting to fall asleep very slowly.

"Any names yet?" You ask softly.

"I have two that came to me in a dream. I can tell you them when we're more awake." He begins rubbing your back gently.

"Mm... okay..." You mumble tiredly, falling asleep faster now due to his rubbing.

Using his chest as a pillow, you finally manage to fall asleep in the safety of his arms...

Tomorrow is a new day.
