' Flashback '

After Spencer had left the museum  Peter Griffiths still sat in the dim light of his office, surrounded by ancient scrolls and mythological texts, each one more obscure than the last. His desk was a mess of papers and books, all in an attempt to understand the bond that had come into his daughter's life. He had been at it for hours, trying to uncover something, anything, that might help him comprehend what she was going through. But even the vast wealth of mythological knowledge he had at his disposal felt inadequate. This bond, not to mention the alignments,Alpha, Omega, and the four others, seemed to defy easy answers.

After a few moments of thoughtful silence he reached for the photo on his desk, which was almost half-buried under the mess of the research. The picture was from a few months back depicting Spencer and Alison standing side by side outside the museum, both smiling at the camera, though their expressions were different. Spencer’s smile was quiet and reserved, almost shy even, while Alison beamed at the camera, her dimples showing and her blue eyes sparkling with laughter. Even in a still image, their differences were so obvious.

Peter’s thumb traced over the glass frame absentmindedly, his heart swelling with a mixture of pride and concern. Both his daughters were Clear-sighted, meaning that they were able to see through the Mist that concealed the world of gods, monsters, and demigods from most mortals. It was a rare gift, and one that they had inherited from him. Or in Spencer's case it's more likely to be from her mum,not me. It meant that neither of them was blind to the dangers that surrounded them. Alison, especially, had always been aware of what Spencer’s life as a demigod entailed, even though she lived a more ordinary life herself.

But Alison had never let the knowledge of monsters or gods dim her spirit.
She always lights up the room like nobody else with her almost infectious smile.

Where Spencer had grown cautious, even wary of the world around her, Alison on the  other hand seemed to thrive in it, her carefree nature and mischievous tendencies ever-present. Peter often wondered if her optimism was her way of defying the darker truths she could see. She didn’t let the presence of danger or the unseen world hold her back. In fact, it almost seemed like she embraced it, always ready for an adventure or a challenge.

They're both Clear-sighted,yet so different, both in appearance and personality.Still ,they are a team,no matter what happens.

That was something Peter had always marveled at: The way his two girls, who shared so much, could be so unalike. Spencer, the daughter of Athena, was all intellect and caution, her sharp mind always analyzing, always calculating every possible outcome for a situation going on,always at least two steps ahead. She was strong in her own way, but her trust issues and past hurts made her keep others at a distance. Alison, on the other hand, wore her heart on her sleeve. She had no problem making friends, nor issue trusting people. Where Spencer held back, Alison rushed forward, ready to protect those she loved without a second thought.

And it wasn’t as though Alison didn’t understand the risks. Being Clear-sighted, like Peter himself, meant she knew exactly what was out there:the monsters, the gods, not to mention the dangers that lurked in the shadows. But instead of fear, Alison faced it all with a grin and an unshakable sense of adventure. Peter often worried about that, about her willingness to jump into situations without thinking through the consequences, especially where Spencer was concerned.

He could already imagine what Alison would say if she found out about Spencer’s bond with Louis. She’d probably want to march right into camp, confront Louis herself, and make sure he was "treating her sister right". That protective streak ran deep in her, despite her carefree exterior. It was one of the things Peter loved most about her, but it also made him nervous. Spencer, with her trust issues, wouldn’t want Alison meddling, even if her heart was in the right place. Instead of helping,it could make things worse and that's definitely not something I'd want to see...
