Ahaan lay awake in the dead of night, his mind racing. Tomorrow was the day—when his revenge would finally begin. He wanted to make it as painful as possible, but every time he tried to focus, her face crept into his thoughts. Frustrated, he grabbed a vase from the table and smashed it against the floor. “Why the hell is she in my head? Focus, Ahaan. You can’t get distracted,” he muttered to himself.
Suddenly, his phone rang. It was his most trusted employee, a man who knew both the clean and dirty sides of the business. “Sir, everything’s ready. If all goes well, by tomorrow at 7 PM, things will unfold just like you wanted,” the voice on the other end said.
Ahaan’s lips curled into a small, satisfied smile. “Great,” he replied, ending the call. His plan was set; now, he just needed to wait for morning.
He tried to sleep, but every time he shut his eyes, her face returned, haunting him. “Shut your damn brain, Ahaan. She’s just another girl, nothing more... She’s the target, remember that,” he reminded himself, though the words felt hollow.
After a long struggle, sleep finally overtook him, pulling him into restless dreams of what lay ahead.
