CHAPTER 2 WHAT ? NO !
so the wind is still blowing hard and freaking out everyone, and the clouds are still mad about something no one gets. Even the windows are shaking from the wind's tantrum. And guess what? It's Jareen's class, and the professor is like, "Today, we're talking about the phantom limb." And one of the students goes, "Yeah, we already know about that."
Jareen - "I know you do, but in medical science, answers may be enough, but the questions always prevail. You know, what you can know is bound to some limits you can't even imagine. You people are so satisfied with the thought of knowing so many answers, but the truth is, the questions in this life will always let you down. You people are like tiny candles trying to light up the storm of reality."
Student - "Sir, in your perspective, what is a phantom limb?"
Jareen - "A phantom limb is either a surgical illness or maybe a psychiatric or psychological illness that makes you believe there's pain in your leg, which, by the way, has been amputated. You may feel after the operation that it's a phantom limb."student-" Sir do phantom limb always is physical or do it have to be part of the body?
Jareen -"What else you think kid, what else it could be ?"
Student-" Sir what if this Phantom limb phenomenon is not limited to the
physical aspects i mean it can be associated with the emotional aspect
What i mean to say is a person.."
Jareen -"I guess you are into too much fantacy right now"
student-" Sir What if your loved one ......
And the wind blew again and this time she smashed window to hard
Jareen came back to reality"[Student]: "Excuse me, sir. I have a question regarding phantom limbs. Are they always physical in nature, or can they also be associated with non-physical aspects, such as emotions?"[Jareen]: "What do you mean, exactly? Can you elaborate on your thoughts?"
[Student]: "Sir, I believe that the phantom limb phenomenon may not be limited to physical sensations alone. It could potentially extend to emotional aspects as well. For instance, consider a situation where a person..."
[Jareen]: "I must admit, your line of thinking seems rather speculative at this point. Are you sure you're not letting your imagination run wild?"
[Student]: "Sir, what if a person experiences a strong emotional connection to a loved one who is no longer physically present? Could that emotional bond give rise to a phantom limb-like sensation?"
[Jareen]: (Pauses, deep in thought) "Hmm, that's an interesting perspective. However, I must emphasize that such phenomena are not supported by concrete scientific evidence at this time. We must approach these ideas with caution and continue our research to fully understand the nature of phantom limbs."
***back to clinic****
[Patient]: "Doctor, where were you lost in the winds of the memories?"
[Jeeran]: "Nothing."
[Patient]: "Doctor, please say something."
[Jeeran]: "Nothing...!"
He remains silent and attempts to leave the clinic when Kizvi suddenly appears.
[Kizvi]: "Doctor, haven't you ate anything today?"
[Jeeran]: "I'm seeing a patient."
He then returns to his clinic.
[Jeeran]: "Sir, I believe your alcohol consumption is out of control. Do you think it's appropriate?"
[Patient]: "Oh no, sir, I just enjoy drinking, and these people put me in jail like this, even worse than a jail!"
[Jeeran]: "But sir, your blood tests indicate otherwise..."
patient- blood tests wont tell the reality of the emotional mind phase that I am being through what does your blood tests know what i am going through
jareen - sir you can always tell me what is that eating you from inside rather than the alcohol.
patient - some thing really bad has been done by some really bad people to me that has left me no other way to relieve my self alcohol speaks to me it pampers me like mother does to his scared child it
shields me from the opinion of people from the scary memories that eats me every time i try to sleep it calms my mind which otherwise is lost like a sailor in the endless sea devoid of any hope a mind can ever imagine...
