Chapter 2.

"Kat, how far have we gotten into the forest?..", Kota had asked while he stretched his arms above his head. She looked slightly down at him and responded with a slight whisper, "About half a mile.. One in a half more long left". "Why are you talking in a whisper my good madam?" he had asked in a quiet tone. "There are creatures that guard the forest you dumbass. Now how about we start a conversation, ya know? To just pass the time we have walking for the day". He looked up and placed his hand on his chin, thinking of what to talk about. "How about our life stories? Or uhm.. What has happened lately in the past few months?" he said. She nodded and started off with the conversation.

"When I was just of a youn age I was here when the great fall of the heavens happened. I don't really remember because I was only a few months old, but I put a large impact on my family and I. Don't exactly remember anything behind the age of 12.. Most of it is a blur but I do remember that my parents became rulers of the kingdom of life and we had gotten along greatly with the rulers of the kingdom of storms. Earlier this year my soon to be husband, Storm, is the prince of the storm kingdom. He doesn't socialize much with people he doesn't know but he still talks to me, his family and mine, and his servant and knights. Our wedding will be in the month of November.. " she smiled and looked down at her left hand, with the ring glittering in the dim light. Kat looked over at Kota and nodded for him to start.

"Well... I never knew my parents because they left me and my sister when we were really young.. See we as demons our bodies change slowly, I currently have a teenagers body and my sister should have a body like a young teen girl. If you didn't know already, we were separated when I was 102 and she was.. Oh god dammit... I cant remember. But anyways, she was a little younger than me and all I can remember of her was that she had the same symbol on her hand as mine, and that we were twins... We demons all have different symbols on our hands when we're born. Every single demon is different. But only twins can have the same.. There has only been very few twin couples in the history of demons, and I'm one of those very rare pairs.. Heh, its funny now that I'm still looking for her to this day. I'm desperate to see what she looks like now and how she has been.. Let me get off this depressing subject and get onto something a little less depressing. Hm.. I used to be married actually, but recently he left to fight in the war and got eaten by some orks... Oh god.. It was terrible when I was told what had happened to him.. The only physical memory of him I have is this coat that was his and his skull I have back in my house in the realm of darkness... But now lately is the earlier months and now I've just been at home but some knight came to me from your castle and said they wanted me to be your partner. I was so happy for once that I would see a person that I wouldn't have to kill... Someone that would care for me and that I would care for them. I now have someone to accompany me in my life now. I must say, thank you Kat for having me chosen to be your partner.. " a tear streamed down his face and he smiled brightly. Kat patted him on his back and thanked him. "Im sorry to awkwardly say this but, I didn't know you liked men." she said slightly. He chuckled and looked up at her, "To be honest I am gay. And I'm very proud of being it."

They kept walking until it had gotten pitch black and they settled down and made a camp. Kota made them rabbit and Kat hesitated before she even took a bite. Kota talked her into eating it and they ate it all almost to the bone. It was cold that night and both of them fell asleep not even covered up with the blankets the took out of Kat's backpack. The arose at noon and headed onto the trail they were on until they heard a loud man like bull roar. All hell will soon break loose.

Mary tripped and fell over a rebel tree root the was sticking out of the ground when she stopped in midair and Garrett had caught her. It was silent in the dark woods and suddenly, he stood her up and apologized. "I- I'm sorry Mary I just didn't want you to get uhm.. hurt. So I- "  then he was stopped with a kiss on the cheek and he turned a light pink color. Mary chuckled and said, "Thank you. There is no need for you to apologize for helping me". He looked over at her and studied her, and after 5 minutes he spoke up. "How long have you been experienced with your weapons?.." he gulped and looked down at her. "You make me feel intimidated if you look down on me, but many years Garrett. Too many to even remember. Why don't you tell me about yourself, like your background or so." she looked up at him and connected her eyes with his. He looked ahead and before he could start a loud roar came from south east range of where they were at.

Garrett had already drawn his sword and Mary had he thomahawk in her hand. Then a din of loud noises came from the east side of the forest and they both thought to themselves, "There's other people in here too..?!" Then what seemed like hours of jogging down their trail in the wood, something was sprinting behind them. The sound of its breathing sounded like it was of great size and then a deafening howl came from it. Garret stopped and had grabbed Mary by her arm and stopped her. It was the guardian of the forest.. A Minotaur.

I charged straight tward them and they moved out from in front of  the creature. "Where in the hell did this thing come from?!" Mary had yelled. Garrett had gotten up without responding to her and charged to the Minotaur with his sword pointed straight at it. It went into its stomach with a SRINGG. A large flow of crimson covered some of Garrett and the monster shrieked with horror and for the final touches of killing the creature was with a chop of its neck. Mary sprinted up to it, jumped onto its shoulder and hit it straight in it jugular. Blood had flown down its greatly built body and fell to its back with a Thump. Mary and Garrett were out of breath and walked another half of a mile. They only had a little longer till they were out of that dammed place ad to the next which was the hideaway of fire imps.
