Today was the day I went overseas to play basketball. Since the WNBA's season was over, I needed something else to do.
"Come on!" I yelled.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." Loud and fast footsteps were heard running down the stairs. I grabbed my two bags and opened the door. Z popped the trunk so I could out my things in there. My hands pushed down on the trunk closing it.
I opened the passenger door, hopping in. "Ready?" I nodded while buckling my seatbelt. Z started the car up, putting the shift in reverse. She bagged out of the driveway, looking at the back camera, making sure no one was behind us.
As Z drove out of the neighborhood, I turned on some music. I then leaned my head against the window, watching the trees and buildings pass by.

"Come on, we're here." I heard as my shoulder was being nudged. I pushed my head off the window and un-buckled my seatbelt.
I climbed out and rounded the car, stopping at the trunk. It popped open and I picked up my suitcase and then my duffel bag. I double checked to make sure I had everything.
I had my backpack and my two bags. "Byeeee." Zaria said as she opened her arms and walked towards me.
"Bye." I replied hugging her. We pulled away and she crossed her arms. "Make sure to call or text me when you make it to your gate." I nodded. "And when you land. And tell Gabby I said hi."
I nodded once more before leaning in to peck her lips. She smiled and placed her hands on my cheek. "Please be safe. I love you."
"I love you too."
I grabbed onto my belongings and waved goodbye as I walked towards the airports entrance. Z waved back before getting in her car and driving off. My phone dinged causing me to fish it out of my pocket.
Gabby texted letting me know that she was here and was walking to the check in area.
Since me and Gabby were playing on the same team overseas, we decided to catch our flights together. I responded and also began making my way to check in.
Me and Gabby ended up spotting each other on the way there. We talked about the things we were ready for as we waited in line together. It was my turn, so I walked up to the front desk. I did the usual checking and stuff. I got done before Gabby so I waited for her.
Once we were both finished, we went ahead and got in the TSA line. It actually wasn't as long as I expected it to be. Gabby and I chatted some more while we waited in line.
I threw my bag into one of the trays, making sure to take out my other electronics and put them in their own bin. I took off my shoes and threw them in the also. I walked through the detector before standing off to the side.
Once I saw my things, I put my shoes back on and made sure everything was in its original place again.
Gabby came and stood next to me, "So, we're at gate C43." I hummed and looked for the sign that led us there. We began walking that way. "We board at twelve thirty and it's only eleven fifty-three. You wanna go get some food?" Gabs asked.
"Yea, let's see our options." The both of us walked around the airport trying to find something to eat. I settled for Chick-fil-a while Gabby got Wendy's. We went back to our gate and found us a spot to sit at. Luckily they had plugs because Gabby's computer was about to die.
"That just reminded me." I looked over at Gabby as she opened her laptop. "I need to download some movies just in case they don't have tv's." I immediately hummed, signaling that she was right.
While in the mist of try to also download movies, I remembered that I had to text Zaria. I quickly did that before going back to download shows.
Time was actually going by very quickly. It was now twelve twenty. I went and threw away our trash before cleaning up my area. I put my stuff back into my bag and made sure I didn't miss anything. I slung my backpacks straps over my arms.
It was now time to board the place and me and Gabby were waiting for our section to be called. "Have a nice flight!" The worker said as she scanned my ticket. "Thank you.'
I walked onto the plane, heading down the aisle. The plane was kinda spacious, which was a good thing. I put my backpack under my seat, wiped the seat down, and buckled in.
I loved having the window seat, so I could look out and see the sky. I tightened my seatbelt and relaxed my head against the seat.
I texted Z and told her that I was on the plane. I also had saw that my parents texted me, saying how they hoped I had a safe flight. I hearted their messages and turned my phone off.

The plane had taken off about thirsty minutes ago and it was going good so far. They did end up having tv's, but the selection was looking a bit bland.
I'd probably just watch something on my computer later on. I was craving some crackers, so I grabbed my backpack and pulled them out.
Gabby was so into the movie she had turned on. My cover started slipping, but I grabbed it before it fell off. I snacked on my crackers and continued watching the show that I had playing.
I couldn't wait to see what Turkey had in store for me.
💋
So sad she tore her acl.
