Recap

I make it to his front door and fall straight to my ass as my legs give out and my vision starts to go out as well. As if the angels answer my silent prayers the door I'm leaning against is opened and my head and upper body fall onto the shoes of someone I know.

"Travis," I faintly rasp out.

It all goes black after that.

A few minutes before
Travis POV
Surprise!

I've been waiting on Taylor for almost an hour now. I'm starting to believe that she went straight back to Joe's house. But I really don't think that's the case. I have that gut feeling that something isn't right. And it irks me.

I'm brought out of my thoughts by a loud thud outside my front door. My thoughts immediately go to Taylor. I speedily get up from my couch and open the door to be greeted by nothing. Until I feel a weight on my feet and a voice I couldn't not recognize even if I tried to forget it.

"Travis," I barely hear Taylor whisper and then close her eyes as more of her weight falls onto my feet. I bend down and pick her up and cradle her to my chest. I rush inside and place her on the tile floor of the kitchen.

When I sit her down and pull my arm from underneath her thighs is when I realize this is bad. My whole right arm is covered in blood. I quickly start to strip her of her backpack and her clothes.

Setting them all aside, I start to unwrap the clothes she wrapped her wounds in. The clothes are soaked through with blood and my heart is pounding out of my chest the more I unwrap. I take a quick peek at them, I then wrap them back up so she doesn't loose blood faster than she already is. I get up and run to my room grabbing my phone and calling one of my friends, Amy, that's on call tonight.

As the phones ringing I put it on speaker sitting it on the floor next to me and put my index and middle finger against Taylor's neck to check for a pulse. I let out a sigh of relief when I feel it, faint but there.

Amy answers the phone and I quickly explain what's happened in my panicked state.

"Hey Travis, any reason for your call tonight?" She asks.

"Uh yes, a big reason. How close are you to my apartment?" I rush out keeping my fingers against her pulse point in her neck.

"Me and Jackson could be there in about three minutes, why?" She says back.

"Taylor, blood, lots of it," is all I could get out at this point.

"We're in route, will be there soon Travis. Don't. panic." She says back and hangs up.

I breathe out and place my head on her chest to listen to her breathing. When it doesn't sound like anything is wrong there I get up and rush to my room to grab her a big T-shirt and a pair of boxers of mine.

After putting on them on her, I open up her bag to grab her first aid kit knowing that there are painkillers in it and I need to know if she took any. What shocks me most is when I open the kit and dump the contents out on the floor is what falls out of the kit with it.

Three pregnancy tests fall out. All reading positive.

"Shit," I breathe out.

All the sudden my apartment door opens and Amy rushes over to me. I've told them a little bit about what happens to her so I wouldn't have to make up some crazy sounding excuse if I needed to call them.

"Holy hell," Amy says walking in to see me covered in blood and Taylor laying in a small puddle that's slowly getting bigger.

I put the contents of the kit back in the bag and zip it up, putting it in her backpack. I push her backpack towards Amy. She picks the bag up and throws it over her shoulder.

I then carefully pick up Taylor making sure to squeeze her arms to her sides and her legs together to stop as much blood flow as possible. I see the look Amy gives me when I pick her up, not moving patients from where they are before taking vitals and assessing the problem is one of the most important rules, and rush by her and out the door shouting for Amy to close my apartment door.

I fly down the stairs and to the ambulance just as Jackson is about to take the stretcher out. I can feel more blood on my arms the longer I'm holding her.

"Travis, you're not supposed to move patients no matter how bad the situation," Jackson hurriedly scold me as he's pushing the stretcher back in the ambulance now with a bleeding Taylor on it.

I give him a dirty look and Amy is soon stepping inside the back of the ambulance as well. Jackson starts to hook Taylor up to check her vitals.

Within a few minutes Jackson leaves to start driving us to the closest hospital. Taylor is stable and her heart rate is slowly increasing. I start to breathe easier and think clearer as I see the numbers rising to normal levels.

I just sit and hold her hand, rubbing my thumb in circles on it. I can hear Amy looking through Taylor's bag but I can't seem to care. She's all that's on my mind right now. Amy and Jackson both know the things she goes through and how I feel about her so I know Amy won't ask me anything unless it's super important.

"Um Travis, did you know about this?" I hesitantly hear Amy ask.

I look over and see she has Taylor's first aid kit open and in her hand is one of the three positive tests. I let out the air in my lungs and I nod my head yes while looking at Taylor's bruised face.

I feel Amy rub my right shoulder knowing now is not a good time to talk to me. I hear Jackson say that we're pulling into the hospital now. I slowly unbuckle myself and take the monitors off Taylor so we can take her inside.

The ambulance stops and Jackson opens the back doors, Amy whispers something to Jackson and I can guess that it's probably what she found in the first aid kit, and we take the stretcher out and into the ER. Jackson leaves as soon as I'm inside telling the nurses something, probably along the lines of "don't ask questions, you don't wanna know," And "she's possibly pregnant."

They take the stretcher from me and wheel her back into the OR and that's when I feel the tears wanting to over flow.

I slowly sink to the floor, and that's when the tears start to stream down my face.

I hoped you enjoyed this chapter! I just couldn't wait and I had to get this out to you guys!
