Ego Vs Love

We were seated in the comfortable couches.
"We both were 20 the first time we met. We were at the same airport going to United states" Emily said

"Her mom was crying so much and my mom was cool. I thanked that my mom was not a drama queen looking at her" John butted in. Emily hit on his arm.

I smiled

"We had the same flight. I was a peaceful person I had a book and my music. I planned to sleep through my flight. Until a jerk was seated next to me" Emily looked and John and continued

"I was almost comfortable and was opening my headphones. When he plopped beside me and started talking. I gave him short answers like my name and destination. He got really annoying so I shut him off and put up my headphones and closed my eyes. Soon the food came over being the mannered person I opened my food one by one. While this person beside me opened all his boxes and mixed his noodles and salad and ate like a hungry man of centuries"

Me and Emily scrunched our nose both men laughed.

"Well looking at me he got a few manners and stopped making those noises while eating. Eventually the food ended and I went to sleep and the whole time he was flirting with the attendants. Honestly I wanted to slap him so bad as well as those giggling girls. I mean I never knew what they saw in him. He was dumb literally he couldn't be quiet ate like an animal" Emily said.

"She slept again, I felt so stuck I had a stuck up girl beside me. So well I checked her bag there were a lot of stuff. The attendants were hot but they were boring.I saw her bag and we had the same destination new York" John said.

"Yeah see what I meant by jerk" Emily said to me I laughed.

" We landed in Amsterdam. He convinced me to go out with him. I weighed my options. Either it was waiting 12 hours or we could roam around. I agreed" Emily said.

"I was planing to go to clubs and those cool places. But she drove me to museums. I thought of leaving her but I was a good guy I went with her" John grinned Emily rolled her eyes.

" And then he said he was with me because all girls needed a man to protect them. I mean how inconsiderate. To him boys were there to be superior they held doors open for us and walked forward up clear the way for us. Why couldn't be girls more like boys" Emily said and looked at John he was smiling they both were it seemed like they were having a conversation by their eyes a bond.

"Well why wouldn't the guys wish for me that time girls were nagging. First date first month first anniversaries for us it was pretty dumb" Emily glared at him.

"Well if it wasn't for us girls they would leave things around be unhealthy never keep a check on anything.We were the ones who took care when they are sick or run around worrying about them" Emily said it seemed like steam was blowing off.

"Well she wouldn't stop saying how good girls were I did surrender but still she went on and on" John said.

" So the best possible thing for him was to kiss me" Emily said.

"And I got a slap and she changed her seats with an old lady so I had a hideous flight" John said.

"I apologized at the airport and said we should keep meeting" John added.

"I would never meet him I hated him. I told him I wish I never would and we headed our different ways" Emily said.

"Five years later we met at my best friend's wedding and the groom was his friend. When I first saw him I was like why why does he have to be here" Emily said.
