Dinner and inspections

"Eve wake up" said a nagging voice

I turned over and kept a pillow on my head wishing they would leave

"Eve our parents will be here in 5 minutes" at that I jolted up

"Shoot T why didn't u wake me up earlier" I grumbled

There is one thing about our parents they expect us to be prim and proper even in normal days.

"OK now that I am awake T get out " I whined
"Nope not until you go to the bathroom and wash your face" Taha said.

Here goes my plan of avoiding dinner by sleeping .

"Yea did u really think I would let u escape from the dinner and inspection and deal with that alone" Taha said as he made a face.

I went up and went into the bathroom washed my face and did a bit of make up so I son't look sleepy and made a proper neat pony tail.

Yes I have things in Ty's room because our houses are separated by a wall.
Soon our parents arrived I went back to my house and left Ty to deal with his own

"Good evening, Eve" my mother said as she entered the door

My dad came along with her and hugged me.

"So how was the day Eve" He asked me as I help him remove his coat and handed it to Charles our butler

"It was fine dad same same old high school" I replied.

He chucked and said
"You are gonna miss it when it's over"
I rolled my eyes at him.

He headed upstairs as I went inside the kitchen to see what Beth has made.

I hugged her from behind

"So, Beth what are we having for dinner?"

"My dear girl, I made u lasagna and chocolate moose as they are your favorite and don't get used to it" she said sternly

I chucked she said that every time she made my favorite . Beth was more of a mother for me then my own because my own mother was now busy in office and the cooperate world. I used to really miss her at first but then I got used to it. Sometimes I wish she would be back to that same women she used to be and take me shopping and do silly things with me.
But I guess nothings lasts.

When my parents came down the dinner stared

"So Eve what courses are u taking this year?"My mother asked

Other children's mom asks how was the first day of school and my mom asks this. So fucking nice.
"I am taking English physics chemistry bio gym arts and music" I replied

"Why arts and music they are such a waste of time. You should be getting more practical. This is your last year how high school. You have to look up to the IV league schools." those words hurt me a lot but I choose to ignore it.

Screaming the words inside. Let me decide it is my life.

'You know Ignorance is a bliss'

My dad sent me an apologetic smile.

After getting no reply she just ate her food.

"Beth"! She shouted I hated it when she shouted at her.

"Pick up the dishes as soon as they are done" she said and sauntered away.

Sometimes I doubt that I am even her daughter but the physical feature's I acquired form her just remove all the doubts.
"Princess time for bed" dad said.

"Dad I am not a kid anymore" I grumbled

"But dear daughter to me you always will be" He laughed and replied and went away.

I helped Beth even though she refused but she lost. She knows I'll help no matter what.
When I was done I opened my window and slid out to the roof.
I looked up to the sky there were starts all around twinkling and making it beautiful.
I heard a slight noise.

"So Ty how was it?" I asked him.

I knew it would be him cause there is no one else who can come here or even know about this place.

"Fine same old dad nagging about being the best and the courses school" Ty said

I turned to look at him. He was gazing up in the sky.
I turned back to the sky

"I wish sometimes they would care about what we feel. It's not fair that how less they are there for us but they want us to live according to them" I said.

Ty didn't say anything but I knew his answer.

We lied there in silence taking the silence of the night and rattle created by the blowing wind.

"OK Ty lets go to sleep" I stood up and Ty kept lying down.

"Good ahead eve I will go in a minute "

"Good night sweet dreams" Ty said.

"Okay Ty as you say good night" I said and went down.
I hit my bed hugged harry my teddy bear and went to a dreamless sleep.

Such a long day
